Story
Honey is such a special pup! She was a byb dog who was sold at 7 mo old with no socialization with people or pets. She has come so far!! She is looking for a husky savvy home with a 6’ fence. She loves to play with safe, non-destructible toys and fetch, and sometimes will bring the ball back ❤️ She is solid with other dogs and loves other dogs. Super tolerant of other dog's antics in playgroups. Even though new experiences and new people make her nervous, once she gets to know you and trust you she starts to open up. She has a very silly personality once she is comfortable with you. She's very treat/food motivated. She knows her name and will come when called by her name. She's a husky so she'll need lots of exercise and enrichment as she can get bored quickly and likes to dig or chew up stuff. She is a gentle, loving companion. She's not into being handled for long periods of time but she's come a long way in letting people touch her. If she knows you well she loves butt scratches. She also gives her paw when leashing up. Loves water, playing in a pool, playing with or dumping her water bowl, or playing with hose water! Our volunteers would say "she is 'fast as f@^$!'" She is not an apt dog. She needs a house with a yard and humans who are willing to put in the bonding time. Once she decides you are awesome, she loves you forever. If you are interest in Honey, please fill out our application on our website! She is so ready for her forever ❤️ Application can be found here: https://bit.ly/pawdadopt

Story
Sapphire is a beautiful 5 year old Siberian Husky who needs to have a home with no other pets if possible. She does fine with passing dogs on a walk but doesn't do well if forced to interact. Cats are fun to chase so probably not the dog for someone who has cats but she's great with children. She's house trained and is a lover. Her owner is unable to care for her anymore so she is with friends but has to stay separated due to her inability to socialize with other dogs. She will need spayed and that amount is included in her adoption donation of $250. Please complete an application if you'd like to meet her.November 5, 2024, 12:47 pm

Story
Miss Jamie here is a work in progress. She came to us after a wonderful human brought her to our attention out in Toutle, WA. She had been running at large with 2 other huskies, one which was caught several weeks before, and the third hasn't been seen in weeks. We sent a trap up to the property owner and she trapped that night. She has been here ever since. Jamie loves cheese and loves cheese. Did I mention how much she loves cheese?!🤣 Will bark at you for cheese. 🤣 She is so gentle taking treats! But her being so treat motivated has helped us to gain her trust. She is quite vocal. Solid with other dogs and loves to play with other dogs! She loves balls and can entertain herself with balls but she is definitely more confident when another dog is around. She'll need another dog in a home to help her learn how to dog and be more comfortable around humans. Our Volunteers say, "She follows me around more often now in the big park, will lick my hand. But she's still pretty wary of human touch. I love when she gets vocal as she sounds sassy, and I feel like I can have a conversation with her!🤣 She still needs a lot of work to trust humans but I have hope for her. I love her beautiful, blue eyes." She is stunningly beautiful, gentle, and did we say she loves other dogs! She is still wary of humans. She is highly trainable and is responding well to positive reinforcement training. She LOVES playing in water. She will require a home with a 6' fenced yard. She will require a drag line after adoption for a while, even with a fenced yard. She does like to play keep away on occasion. But if she likes you, she comes when she is called. She will be a wonderful addition to a family with another dog. Story
Koa is the sweetest boy. He is being rehomed though no fault of his own. Our daughter was diagnosed with a serious health condition, and we are unable to give him the attention he needs. He currently lives with a 5 and two 3 year olds. He is great with kids, but may knock small kids over, trying to play. Kids 4+ years would be best. He is friendly with all people, but will get excited and jump up. He is compatible with any dog-savvy cat. He is well-socialized with other dogs. Koa has high energy as expected from a healthy husky. He currently gets 2+ miles of running per day. As long as he has been exercised, he is not destructive. He can be left alone for ~6hrs. He is not very vocal. He only barks when he wants to be let back in the house. A secure fenced in yard is a must. He likes to wander. We take him on off-leash runs every day, and as long as you are very attentive, he will stick with you. He has a decent recall, but will wander if ignored.
