We have a a very affordable transporter who comes north every other week. This boy is a Jack Russell mix. He was born 1-4-2023. This boy weighs around 15 pounds and he is extremely social and great with adults and older children and other animals except cats. He likes to chase cats. This boy has been started on crate training and potty training. Willie had horrible skin when he came in. He had a horrible flea allergy. He must remain on good flea prevention such as Bravecto, Nexgard, or similar prevention. We have gotten his skin nearly straightened out. This furbay will go home neutered, current on vaccines, preventives and microchipped. We require a prescreen application to adopt. You can get that on the website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Are you looking for an agility dog, a flyball dog, or a jogging buddy? Buddy is your boy. Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires a lot of exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He is smart, listens well, and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when excited or wants attention, and needs more training. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). He is NOT a fence climber. It would be best if applicants are experienced with the breed and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. His adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Brattleboro or White River Junction VT. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you would like to adopt this sweet, active little guy. Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Hi there, I'm Biscuit! I'm new to town - I just got here a few months ago from Georgia. I didn't realize how cold it got in New England, but luckily, the humans here have supplied me with a steady stream of fashionable coats, so I'm happy about that! As you can tell, I'm a pretty positive pup! So many things make me happy - kids, squeaky toys, walks, rides in the car, spending time with humans, just to name a few! At this point, I bet you're wondering how a cute little guy like me ended up in this situation. Well, unfortunately, my owner passed away, and friends and family of his couldn't take care of me. They surrendered me so I could find my next forever home. I'm just waiting for the perfect one to come along! I'd love someone who is home most of the time or could at least take me with them. I would also love to continue my potty training. If you're looking for a stylish, cute, calm little pup who cherishes snuggles and quality time, please submit an application on the website!  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. January 7, 2025, 9:43 am

Story
Harry is such an adorable dog. He is a bouncy, playful young guy whoabsolutely loves to go on long sniffy walks. And toys? This good boyloves to play with toys. Just to let you know, Harry is a kisser. He willtrot over, lean in for a pet and then give you a smooch! This cutie couldprobably live with a well-matched dog friend or a dog-savvy cat. Childrenwho are old enough to help with training should also work.Good boy Harry is having a hard time settling here at the noisy shelter. We recommend that during the first few weeks home, adopters keep Harrysworld small and give him time to settle. We know nothing about Harryslife before the shelter. It does not appear that he has had much practicewalking on a leash. We also do not know what his inside manners are like.Adopters may need to puppy proof the house. With love, time and patience,Harry will almost certainly grow into a really wonderful dog. Would youlike to meet him? Come visit Harry at the MSPCA in Methuen on Tuesdaysthrough Sundays from 12PM to 4:30PM.
