Story
Meet Sugar - the sweetest little speedster with a heart of gold! This 1.5-year-old terrier mix is basically a tiny, furry bolt of lightning ⚡ with a heart full of love. She's got classic Jack Russell energy so If you’re looking for a playful, adventure-loving bestie who’s always ready to go, go, go… Sugar is your girl! 🏃‍♀️🐶 Her Foster calls her the “perfect dog” (and honestly, who are we to argue?!). Sugar has excellent leash manners, so you won’t have to worry about being dragged behind her like a cartoon character. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, she is pure happiness and ready for tons of cuddles. 🐾 High-Energy & Playful! Sugar is always ready for fun, whether it's zooming around the house, playing with his doggy pals, or sniffing out snacks (his true passion). 🐶 Dog-Friendly? Check. She’s already besties with his foster sibling and would love a playful companion! 👶 Kid-Approved! He aced the child test—his happiness is contagious, and he’s ready to share it with the whole family. 🐱 Probably Cat-Friendly! Nothing fazes Sugar, so odds are she’ll be just as cool with cats as he is with everything else in life. 🍖 Food Motivated. Need a dog who listens? Wave a treat, and Sugar is all ears! If your life is missing some sweetness with a side of zoomies and snuggles, Sugar is ready to bring the fun (and the love) straight to your heart! 💕 If you are interested in finding out more about Sugar, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Sugar is being fostered in Boston, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Max is my special boy who is the sweetest, funniest, and most scheduled dog I’ve ever met. I rescued him from Louisiana when he was just six months old and have sincerely loved him with my whole heart ever since. Life has changed, and there is now a sweet little human baby in my life. Max is absolutely fantastic with adults and even my 13-year-old rescue senior dog. We are not exactly sure why, but he doesn’t do well with children or most dogs. We are hoping to find a loving home with a big yard he can run around in for him. I he recognizes and understands words and loves to be trained. His favorite activity is fetch and would play for hours at the dog park if allowed. He is an absolute snuggle bug and could spend the whole day on the couch with you watching movies. He loves walks and getting little treats throughout the day. I promise, he will melt any bad day away when you come home to his face.

Story
Meet Cocoa Boy – The Cutest Little Scruffy Pal!  You can tell just by looking in his eyes that this guy has a story to tell and that things might not have always been easy for him. This 2-year-old, 12 lb terrier mix is a gentle soul searching for a quiet, loving home to call his own. Cocoa Boy may be a bit timid at first, but once he settles in, he blossoms into the sweetest little companion. He’s best suited as a second dog and would thrive with another small, friendly pup to show him the ropes. He loves curling up in a cozy dog bed & finds comfort in companionship. Cocoa Boy is currently fostered with another dog, and he does fine home alone in a crate or puppy pen. He walks well on a leash and is also a candidate for apartment living.  If you’re looking for a gentle, loving little pup who just needs a patient heart and a soft place to land, Cocoa Boy is ready to snuggle his way into your home. best as a second dogshy temperament - a thinker takes his time walks well on leashaltered, utd vaccines & microchipped________ available for adoption 2/20 -apply today   *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 26, 2025, 8:42 pm
