Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Meet Beau** Beau is a stunning Jack Russell-Papillon mix, affectionately known as a Papi-Jack. At 5 years old, he is a loving and loyal boy who, despite his initial shyness, quickly blossoms into a delightful companion. His joy upon seeing his human is heartwarming; he can hardly contain himself, constantly seeking love and affection. Beau is ready to give his whole heart to someone who will love him forever. Beau thrives best in a woman-only home since he is used to living in an all-female environment and does not do well with men. He needs a yard for sunbathing and potty breaks. While he prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to socialize with, he can also do well as the only dog. He requires an adult-only home, as he does not like children or grandchildren, which can frighten him and might lead to biting. This fear arises from his shyness and tendency to be startled by sudden movements or loud noises. Although he prefers women, with patience and proper socialization, he can become friendly with a man in the home if there is one. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion who wants to be by your side everywhere, is super playful, and enjoys having a buddy dog close by, Beau is your guy! He has a medium-long, soft, and silky fur coat that requires regular grooming to maintain its quality. Beau takes pride in being clean and enjoys being brushed, receiving attention, and getting hugs. He is housebroken and has learned to use a pee pad as a backup if needed. Beau is intelligent and forms a strong bond with his special person. He acts as a watchdog when you have company, so he will need a quiet place to retreat if unfamiliar guests visit. He prefers to be around only 1-2 people and becomes a lap dog, hugger, and kisser once he feels secure with his humans. He gets along well with all the small dogs he has met and enjoys playing with older lab puppies introduced to him. Due to his Jack Russell heritage, Beau has a strong prey drive and needs to live in a small, animal-free home. Therefore, no cats, mice, reptiles, or rodent-like pets are allowed. How to Adopt Beau: Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review your application, follow up with any questions, answer yours, and see if you are a good match for this pup. The next step, crucial in the adoption process, is a meet and greet if a match is made. This is your opportunity to meet Beau and see if you both connect. Please use a computer, as tablets and cell phones may cause issues with the application. Beau has transitioned to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on the proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To adopt Beau, there is a $495.00 adoption fee. All funds will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link and be thorough in your answers. Expand whenever possible so we can get to know you and make the best match.  https ://rompinpawsrescue .com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2025, 9:06 pm

Story
Jack is a jack russell terrier mix. He is the perfect small dog at just about 10lbs. He is approximately 7 years old. Jack is a very sweet dog. He is quick to greet you and loves giving and receiving attention. He has great energy without being over the top. He was my grandfather's dog in his final days, when he passed away my mother adopted him. She sadly now has Alzheimer's and can no longer take care of Jack the way he needs. He is not necessarily well trained but is also not aggressive, overall he is very sweet. He is friendly and likes to bark. He does have a lot of the traits you would expect a small dog to have, e.g. can scare easily but in general he’s pretty simple. He sleeps a lot during the day and doesn’t require a ton of exercise. He is looking for a loving new home.

I am around 7 months old and I come in at about 15lbs. I am a social boy that loves his people both tall and small but do remember I still have those sharp lil teeth and nails. I have got a really sweet nature that does love to run around and play with all the other foster pups here. I do really well playing with the other pups but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, but at my young age and with proper introductions I should be fine with them too! Story
Good with other dogs • Good with children Zingo is 11lbs of demure, cute, and extra attentive love. She can be slow to warm up, but is respectful of other dogs and quite smart. Zingo was skeptical of Seattle’s February snowfall (unsure of her puffy jacket) but ultimately discovered the joy of a cold snout and the airiness of the mysterious white fluff as she rolled around in her foster's yard. Her daily routine of two walks and several potty breaks has helped her make progress on not using any puppy pads and walking calmly on a leash. She’s still learning basic commands and how to play with dog toys. Zingo has done well around toddlers and enjoys the company of other small dogs. There have been no signs of aggression, food or toy guarding, and she sleeps peacefully through the night. Zingo sleeps on the bed provided by her foster every night. The bed is on the ground by the nightstand. Zingo is learning how to be a dog, and every day her confidence grows! She started off afraid of leaving her foster home to go into the yard, and a week later, she gladly comes when her harness is out and is ready to walk out the front door. She walks confidently into a pet store, despite being disinterested in treats, and absolutely loves being loved on. She is still figuring out how to play with toys, but her foster is confident she’ll learn how to play with her stuffed lamb before long.

Story
Hi there I’m Nala,I am a mature, self-confident dog who would love to find a forever home. I live now with other dogs who I love to play with, cats who I respect and play with if they want to, and kids who like to pet me. I have not had much experience with toys, but I do love a good game of tug. I like to be active, but I am good to just chill out with you too. Nothing like an evening of cuddling with the family to make my day complete.I like car rides, I don’t get sick, and I stay calm. My foster says I make a great co-pilot. I am learning basic commands like sit and stay but I will need some work with that. I love to walk and when we do I stay close to my foster and walk at their pace. If it sounds like we would be a good fit, then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Just waiting for you.Nala To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo.
