At 5 years old, he is a loving and loyal boy who, despite his initial shyness, quickly blossoms into a delightful companion. His joy upon seeing his human is heartwarming; he can hardly contain himself, constantly seeking love and affection. Beau is ready to give his whole heart to someone who will love him forever. Beau thrives best in a woman-only home since he is used to living in an all-female environment and does not do well with men. He needs a yard for sunbathing and potty breaks. While he prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to socialize with, he can also do well as the only dog. He requires an adult-only home, as he does not like children or grandchildren, which can frighten him and might lead to biting. This fear arises from his shyness and tendency to be startled by sudden movements or loud noises. Although he prefers women, with patience and proper socialization, he can become friendly with a man in the home if there is one. Jack is a jack russell terrier mix. He is the perfect small dog at just about 10lbs. He is approximately 7 years old. Jack is a very sweet dog. He is quick to greet you and loves giving and receiving attention. He has great energy without being over the top. He was my grandfather's dog in his final days, when he passed away my mother adopted him. She sadly now has Alzheimer's and can no longer take care of Jack the way he needs. He is not necessarily well trained but is also not aggressive, overall he is very sweet. He is friendly and likes to bark. He does have a lot of the traits you would expect a small dog to have, e.g. can scare easily but in general he’s pretty simple. He sleeps a lot during the day and doesn’t require a ton of exercise. He is looking for a loving new home.
