Bono- could be 3 to 5 year old Flat-coated Labradoodle-- he sure has that happy-go-lucky doodle personality!! He does shed- so we really aren't sure. He was in an over-crowded shelter in Wichita, Kansas when I first learned about him. So far he is doing GREAT in temp foster care-- playful with the other dogs, ok with the cats, but great with kids. We would like to find him a happy-go-lucky super fun outgoing family in the Chicago area that could help with his spunky personality. Bono would benefit from daily walks and he absolutely needs a fenced in yard. If you have a fun playful dog in need of a buddy, Bono might be the dog you need!! What a young and silly boy sporting a wiry goatee! Tucker is a 2 year old Labradoodle and he is looking for his new family. He has traded in outdoor farm life for indoor living and thinks it is really swell. Initially he is a little hesitant about meeting new people, but a treat in hand helps him forget his fear and he is happy to meet new people. He fostered in a home with multiple dogs, but we have found that when he is one of two dogs, he tries to protect his new family from the other dog so we prefer to place him in an only dog home. He is hesitant about getting in a car, but once he is in, he is a great rider and seems to enjoy it. He is a very large boy and currently weighs 70#s He is very happy to hang around the house and get pets or to go out in the fenced yard and poke around while is foster mom does yard work. While we are not up to speed on all of the nomenclature for doodles, we do know his mother was the lab and his father was the poodle. His hair is actually great as it is wavy and wiry, but not the grooming nightmare of most doodles. If you have an active family and are looking for a doodle with a great personality that does not have the crazy grooming needs of the curly coats, Tucker may be just the guy for you. Full transparency, Walter is a high needs dog with a bite history. He has bitten both owners, our child (1year old) and one guest. Walter is a 4 year old labradoodle purchased from a breeder as a puppy. He is sweet (most of the time), loves walks, chasing after a ball, seek and find games, and seek and destroy games. His high needs: -highly anxious. Loud noises, new people, etc. -resource guarding -reactive -sensitive to grooming (both professional and owner) -barks for attention -jumps when greeting -needs regimen/ schedule and lots of exercise for best behavior He knows all basic commands: sit, stay, down, roll, shake, come He loves kongs, destroying cardboard boxes, squeaky toys, walks and car rides. We are very sad to rehome him but cannot give him the attention he needs and do not want to live in fear he will bite our young child again. Most of his behavior is predictable if you are able to read his body language.

Scooter was rehomed from a family out of state. He is a loving dog who loves to play. He is a little over a year and still learning his size, weighs 65lbs. He did not have much exposure as a pup, and needs a relaxed environment. He can have a lot of energy, and would need a yard. He loves to play, and cuddle. He can bark at strange noises and when he wants attention. However, is usually quiet in the crate unless he whines to signal that he needs to go. He would do best as an only dog and adult-only or no-children household. And since he is still learning his size, he may be best suited for an experienced adopter. He has a crate, toys, and food to take to a new home.

Story
Ember is a very energetic and fun medium sized pup (55lbs). She's young (1-2yrs) and vibrant and looking for a home where she can participate in family activities like hikes and walks and Netflix nights. She's as good of a snuggler as she is a jogging companion. Her fur is soft and fluffy and she is lower shedding but we CANNOT guarantee hypoallergenic. She is strong and requires a fit owner who can handle a large and active pup. She did have some matting that resulted in dry skin (hence the shaved spot) that was exmained by a vet who performed a skin scraping to ensure there was no mange or underlying condition (test results were negative). She should be kept on a high quality kibble with fish oil supplements. Ember is located in Houston TX and can be picked up there or we can discuss transport options. Her fee is $850. Do you want a pup that's a bit spicy? This boy is a quick thinker and knows what he wants. He might be crossed with a raccoon :-). Just kidding, but look at that mask around his eyes and those great thinker wrinkles on top of his head. Enrique was found as a puppy with his sister in the streets of Aruba, Carribean Island close to Venezuela. They were scooped up by the local trapper and after being fixed had to be released back into the streets. I could not let that happen and took them with me into my Airbnb. Enrique is house broken and very well crate trained. He is a love bug, but being scooped up inside in this weather, he is starting to be a bit feisty. He loves to run in the big yard with his friends and would love to have another dog in the household with him. At this point he is estimated to be just over 5 months old. Cunucu's, Aruba's street dogs are, are loyal and very smart. They train very easily. He knows to find his cage when you tell him to go in and he knows to sit for his meal. He has learned at the foster home to wait a the door and to wait for jis meal to be released. Good leash manners is next. Enrique does well in the doggy playgroup and love sit when people play with him. He is up for adoption within 40 miles of Elgin.

Her floppy ear, curly tail and sunny personality will always bring a smile to your face. Brittany (Britt for short) is approximately 3-4 months old and weighs about 20 pounds. She most likely has a bit of lab, German Shepherd, with a touch of terrier, and a sprinkling of mystery mutt. (We do not DNA test). Britt is crate trained, house broken, microchipped, up to date on her shots and is learning basic commands. She loves playing outside with the other dogs in her foster’s home; chasing balls, playing tug, splashing in her water bowl and drinking from the hose. While she had played well with her foster siblings, she does need to be the only dog in her forever home. Britt has a lot of puppy energy and would probably do best with older kids who understand how to give her space when needed. Obedience training (to help Britt be her best self) and maybe some agility training (to challenge her) would be very beneficial. Brittany Ears can’t wait to find her forever home and share adventures with her forever family.
