Story
Hey Y'all, Grady here. Since I first met you, I have grown HUGE. I fit the category of "Gentle Giant" and "Ninja". I have also been called a horse. But, whatever you want to call me, sweet & kind fits best. January 16, 2024 I turned 1 year old. My foster mom said I weigh 110 lbs. There is nothing more that I love than kisses on my nose and head, scratches, hugs, swiping something from right under your nose, hanging out in my crate, hanging out at your feet, squishing myself into small areas (close to you) for a nap. I love playing in the sprinkler, playing chase with my fur-siblings here in foster care. I am dog social, love my people (nervous at first with new people but warm up quickly), house trained, crate trained, car rides. My mom is a Mountain Cur and dad a Labradoodle. All of my siblings have been adopted. For some reason I am still here. It is not a bad place, actually quite fun. I love the cold weather (we had snow this year).  My ideal furever family would love to snuggle, have patience, go hiking, camping, play in the water (sprinklers are perfect), go for car rides, and go to the beach. I have heard all about it. I think that is for me.

Story
Sawyer is a large Labrador retriever mix that loves people and warms up very quickly. Our volunteers say he seeks cuddles when in the play yard and does the doggy lean into them whenever he can. When Sawyer’s original owner lost their housing, another family took him in temporarily. He was then surrendered to a shelter in SC when his new family felt they couldn’t provide the exercise that a fun, goofy guy like Sawyer needs. He is overweight so he will really benefit from daily exercise & playtime. We suspect that Sawyer hasn’t spent much time exploring new places. He likely spent the majority of his life sheltered in a home and his own backyard. Sawyer would like a forever family that will show him new places and work on loose leash walking! When in new places, Sawyer needs guidance from a kind, confident person to show him the way and help him process the new environment full of new smells, sounds and sights! This gentleman is crate and house-trained. Other Dogs The family who had Sawyer stated that he is docile with other dogs despite his size. Cats No cats
