Story
(DOB 02/19/2018) Local adoption; 1 hour radius of Wake Forest NC until spayed on 3/21. Dolly is quickly acclimating to her new, wonderful life and all of the wonders of being spolied, sharing the finer things, traveling on 4 wheels, and leaving her past behind her...she has adjusted very well to the expectations her foster family has for her. Dolly may have missed out on some of that in her previous years, but she knows this is the life she's been destined for - ahh, the good life is here to stay! Though Dolly is a little shy at first, it doesn't make her any less cute or adorable; she just needs a little time with new people and new things. She does love other dogs and needs another fun, confident furry friend in her forever home! She also likes spending afternoons at doggie daycare and hanging out with her extended family of furry friends. Since Dolly is working on her confidence, a quieter home would be ideal. She is friendly with all animals and people but rambunctious children might slow her ability to settle in comfortably. So mature children should be fine. She also gets along kitties - awesome, right?!?  Dolly is already house trained and crate trained so no worries about having to add that to your list of things to do. She currently sleeps nicely in her crate at night but may enjoy sleeping in a big bed next to her people. Dolly would be a good potential pup for a condo, apartment or townhome as she doesn't require a fenced in yard. If you have one, great...she'll enjoy playing with her furry siblings in it but if not, several daily walks and playtime will keep her happy! Ready to meet this smiling, fluffy, sweet, adorable girl...then get your application filled out!  As part of Dolly’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Dolly, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2319470##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs.  The link to our application is in the dogs bio below or at https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC  .      Herbie loves people.  He gets excited but doesn't bark or jump when people come in the house or when we walk by people outside. He sleeps by himself on the sofa during the day and all night, but loves it best when someone sits with him. He wants to be a lap dog!    Herbie loves food but is very patient when he is fed. He sits and waits for "OK" when we put his food bowl down.  He's pretty gentle taking treats and loves to work food puzzles.    Herbie loves our two 30 min walks.  But he would probably like even more walks.  He goes outside in the yard a few times a day to do his business but he doesn't just hang out in the yard or on the deck very long unless a human is with him.  He is a people focused dog! We think he'd do fine with a house or apt with no fenced yard and a just walks.   Herbie does fine on walks but does need further leash walking skills.  When we pass people he is calm and happy, and he sits on command to let people pass without approaching them. Herbie can be reactive when we see other dogs on walks. We cross the street or move off the trail/sidewalk 6-10 feel to give plenty of room.  He occasionally jumps and barks depeding on the other dog and how close we are. He's making  progress though.     Herbie does not need to be crated. We have left him for 3-4 hours at a time which works fine as long as he's had a walk/meal and is ready to settle for a while.  He is mainly housebroken.   He will stand by the back door and whine to let us know when he needs to go outside.    Herbie is very vocal when riding in a car.  A few trips to the vet is fine.  If  you want a dog for a cross country road trip, Herbie will not be packing his bags to come along with you!    EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Larry requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can meet him in his foster home. The link to the application is:  https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.       Larry is a fun loving, friendly puppy who is looking for a forever home.  Could be your Valentine?  He loves to play and socialize with other dogs.  So Larry would love to have  another playful dog in his forever home.  He loves to cuddle up with humans and other dogs.  If he is a solo dog, he will need a lot of human interaction and ideally someone who is home most of the time.  He is not used to being alone without other dogs or humans.     &#226&#128&#139Larry is used to sleeping in a puppy pen and sleeps thought the night.  He is basically housebroken when taken outside on a regular schedule. He doesn't have accidents in the house!  So special with such a young puppy. The older dogs in his foster home have taught him well.   Puppies can nip and play bite, so may not be  appropriate for young children.  Puppies usually will bark and cry when left alone.  So apartments or townhomes with shared walls may be an issue for neighbors.  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Larry  and his littermates were dumped in a rural area, found and taken to a shelter. They are all in loving, warm foster home now. Please consider giving Larry a forever home where he will bring you much joy.    Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. Story
Socks came from a local farm, but he could not be kept because he is a bird hunter and their farm has chickens and ducks. He is extremely friendly with other dogs and kids. He is energetic, but also very smart and sensitive. He has been in a home with 2 kids for the past year or two. Our family does love him, but our busy schedules are leaving with him no attention - he is in a yard all day on his own. He needs to be somewhere where he can have a lot of interaction, either with other dogs or humans. He is very sociable.
