Story
Fran and her siblings are alive because a kind woman would go feed their pregnant mama who was living outside near a riverbank, shortly after being born there, mum and pups were taken to safety into the SPCA PV sanctuary. Now its time for them to find real families to love them. Fran is stunning with her sleek black coat and white toes in a squirmy puppy body. Fran was born with extra toes in her back legs, a condition that is not harmful (in fact some snow breeds were bred with them, so perhaps he was meant for a life in Canada!) Fran is healthy, vaccinated and ready to travel to her new home with flights available to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and less frequently to Vancouver island. We think Fran will grow to be about 55 lbs. Fran has been exposed to cat and is playful with dogs. Story
Born August 2024, Sabrina is one of our Charlie’s Angel’s puppies. Her and her sisters were found young, abandoned and full of fleas, ticks and hungry, near our sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta. They are beautiful AND smart. Sabrina and her sisters have been popular with tourists at the Saturday market - loving the cuddles and admiration of strangers. She is good with people, dogs and cats. She’s wiggly, smart and full of personality . Sabrina is healthy, and happy but would be much happier with a family all her own! We expect her to grow to 35ish lbs. If you think you might be a fit, email us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or you can go direct to our application here: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw. Story
8 year old Yesenia is a lab x boxer looking for a home. Yesenia was surviving when kind strangers might feed her, but had to be a strong resilient girl. They suspect she may have been used for breeding and was subjected to having her tail docked. When they no longer wanted her they just left her to fend for herself. Yesenia reads people well and likes to be comforted by them. Yesenia prefers male dogs and isn’t a fan of cats. She is spayed and vaccinated, weighing a perfect 45 lbs. If you think you might be Yesenia’s second chance as either an adopter or foster, she’d love to hear from you by emailing us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or going direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw (please check your junk mail in case we get redirected)

Story
Quick Facts Name: Samny Age: 3 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Labrador Retriever Colour: Beige Weight: 20kg My Story I’m Sammy, your classic Labrador Retriever, and I’m so excited to tell you all about myself! I’m a three-year-old Labrador Retriever boy with a soft beige coat, weighing around 20 kg (about 44 lbs). Right now, I’m a bit on the slim side, but with the right care, I’ll fill out to a healthy, sturdy weight. I was rescued from a high-risk shelter and am now on my journey to find a forever home. I’m as friendly as they come and love being around people! Personality I’m an incredibly affectionate and social guy who’s ready to make friends with everyone I meet! Whether you’re a familiar face or someone new, I’ll come right over, lean in for pets, and even show my belly as a warm welcome. I’m comfortable being picked up if needed and will happily snuggle up with you for all the love and attention. My ideal day includes lots of human interaction—I’m happiest when I can be close to my people. My Social Side I’m friendly with other dogs and will approach them politely to say hello, especially those who are around my size or smaller. But I’m much more interested in spending time with people than other dogs. Even if another dog tries to start something, I’ll usually walk away—I’m a lover, not a fighter! As for cats, I’m not too interested; on walks, I prefer to stay focused on my human rather than chasing after them. My Energy Level & Walks I have a lot of energy—classic Lab style! I’m always on the move, ready for adventure, and love to play. I’m especially fond of water and will jump right in if given the chance; swimming and splashing are some of my favorite activities. On walks, I do tend to get excited and pull in the direction I want to go, so I’m currently working on my leash manners. With consistent training, I know I’ll improve, but for now, my enthusiasm for exploring keeps me on my toes! I’m also flexible with potty habits, comfortable using both indoor pads and going outside. While I’m generally very quiet, I might mark in new places as I explore, just as boys like me do. Last Message I’m a classic, fun-loving Labrador with all the typical Retriever charm. I don’t guard my food and am always calm in my kennel. My love for people and my playful spirit makes me a perfect companion for an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures and quality time. Though I can be a bit overexcited during walks, my enthusiasm just means I’m ready to embrace life to the fullest with you by my side. If you’re looking for a joyful, friendly, and loyal friend who loves both water and playtime, I could be the perfect fit. I’m ready to find my forever family and share all the love I have to give! Story
Quick Facts! Name: Mamba Age: 2 years old Gender: Female Neutered: Yes Breed: Labrador mix Colour: Black Weight: 22kg All about me Hello guys. I'm Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix girl, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat! I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human's guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my crate. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved girl even inside my crate. I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic. Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely. I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. For details, please reach out to my team and they will be more than happy to assist you! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
'm Becky, a 5-year-old female Labrador Retriever looking for my forever home. I've had a bit of a rough start, being abandoned near a rural chicken coop, but thanks to some kind souls, I've been rescued. I'm a social butterfly with a heart as big as my paws. It doesn't take me long to warm up to new people-I'll be nudging you for pets and belly rubs in no time. I get along great with other dogs, always up for a playdate and ready to make new friends. However, I do have a bit of a protective soul, so if another dog challenges me, I might stand my ground. Just something to keep in mind. I'm well-behaved on walks, although I might need a gentle reminder not to pull too hard on the leash. When it comes to strangers, I'll give a little bark to let you know someone's approaching, but I'm calm and collected in my kennel. I'm an outdoor enthusiast when it comes to bathroom breaks-I prefer the great outdoors for that. And did I mention how smart I am? I've mastered basic commands like sit, paw, and stay. I might not guard my food, but if another dog tries to sneak a nibble, I'll definitely let out a warning growl. So, what do you say? Are you ready for a lifetime of tail wags, paw prints, and unconditional love? If you think we could be the perfect match, come meet me! I can't wait to bring joy and companionship to your home. Story
Quick Facts  Name: Sunshine Age: 3-4 years old (born October 2021) Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Labrador Color: Beige Weight: 30kg My Story I’m Sunshine, a big, friendly 2-year-old Labrador boy, and I’m as warm and bright as my name suggests! With my sleek beige coat and a hearty 30 kg (66 lbs) frame, I’m full of love and energy. I was rescued from a tough spot at Bucheon City Animal Shelter just before it was too late, and now I’m ready to find my forever family. My Personality I’m a social butterfly who loves meeting new people. Whether you’re a friend or a stranger, I’ll happily come up for pets and even roll over to show you my belly. I thrive on affection and enjoy being close to my humans. I’m a gentle giant at heart, but when I get excited, I can forget my size—so I’d love a family who can guide me to channel my energy. Around Other Dogs I’m polite with other dogs but not overly interested in their company. I’ll greet them with enthusiasm but prefer to focus on my human friends. My heart belongs to the people I love, and I’d much rather play fetch or snuggle up with you than join in doggy games. Daily Adventures With my high energy level, I love outdoor activities and long walks. I do pull on the leash a bit, but I respond well to gentle corrections and am learning to walk nicely. I’m strong but not stubborn—I aim to please, so training me is fun and rewarding! After a good adventure, I’m happy to settle down and relax at home. At Home I have a playful side and love carrying things around, especially bowls or toys. I’m already a pro at basic commands like sit, wait, lie down, and paw, and I’d love to keep learning more tricks with you! While I don’t have food aggression, I do eat with gusto, so I might need reminders to slow down.  If you’re a guy with a steady hand and a firm voice, I’ll likely bond with you quickly. I’m a big softie who wants to be the best companion I can be, but I need someone who can help me with boundaries and guide me as I grow. Why You’ll Love Me I’m the perfect mix of playful and loving, ready to fill your life with fun, joy, and affection. My big heart and loyal nature make me an ideal companion for an active family who will help me manage my energy and teach me how to be my best self. I’m eager to find my forever home where I can be cherished and loved. ##2281366##

Story
Young Rudy, born Feb 2024 was found one morning as a very young puppy buried in dirt near the shelter. He was taken into the SPCA PV sanctuary, and they learned that he was buried to soothe burns on his back where his hair is now discoloured. He currently weighs approximately 40 lbs, we think he’ll grow to be about 50 lbs. He was lucky that one of our sweet mamma pups Keisha took him under her wing to give him the love he should still get as a young pup. He’s a playful boy that would love a yard and adventures, and maybe even a welcoming dog friend. He has been good with cats (though exposure is limited). Rudy is healthy and ready to fly. He is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for him, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw
