Story
Flora and her siblings are alive because a kind woman would go feed their pregnant mama who was living outside near a riverbank, shortly after being born there, mum and pups were taken to safety into the SPCA PV sanctuary. Now its time for them to find real families to love them. Flora is stunning with her sleek black coat, white socks and squirmy puppy body. Flora is healthy, vaccinated and ready to travel to her new home with flights available to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and less frequently to Vancouver island. We think Flora will grow to be about 55 lbs. Flora has been exposed to cat and is playful with dogs. If you think you might be her happy ever after or a foster on the road to a better life, message us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw (check your junk mail in case we get redirected when we respond)

Fergie was born with extra toes in his back legs, a condition that is not harmful (in fact some snow breeds were bred with them, so perhaps he was meant for a life in Canada!) Fergie is healthy, vaccinated and ready to travel to her new home with flights available to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and less frequently to Vancouver island. Story
8 year old Yesenia is a lab x boxer looking for a home. Yesenia was surviving when kind strangers might feed her, but had to be a strong resilient girl. They suspect she may have been used for breeding and was subjected to having her tail docked. When they no longer wanted her they just left her to fend for herself. Yesenia reads people well and likes to be comforted by them. Yesenia prefers male dogs and isn’t a fan of cats. She is spayed and vaccinated, weighing a perfect 45 lbs. If you think you might be Yesenia’s second chance as either an adopter or foster, she’d love to hear from you by emailing us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or going direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw (please check your junk mail in case we get redirected)

Story
Meet Frankie the lovable Lab mix! Frankie has truly won the hearts of all the volunteers and staff here in Parksville with his BIG heart and even bigger personality! He loves his people and will happily spend his days by your side, joining in on all the fun. While he may be a 'senior', he certainly has bounds of energy, playfulness, and spunk that will make you think he's still a puppy! At around 90lbs, this big boy is looking for a home that has the space and ability to handle his size. He walks lovely on a harness and leash, but sometimes the odd squirrel or bird can peak his attention and you'll be reminded just how big he is! Frankie has shown some reactivity on leash, but he has made great strides with positive reinforcement training! We are looking for an adopter who is eager and willing to continue this type of training into his new home. Additionally, Frankie has had some wonderful playdates with dogs the same size as him and would do well with continued monitored doggie friends! However, Frankie has shown some resource guarding in his previous homes with other dogs and therefore we are looking for a home with no other dogs or small animals to keep everyone safe and happy! If you are looking for a dog that will go on camping and swimming adventures with you, keep you company on the couch, or just be a big furry family member, Frankie may be the perfect dog for you! You can find an application for him at the following link: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 40.1 Age: 7yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Sammy Age: 3 years old  Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Labrador Retriever  Color: Beige  Weight: 20kg All About Me I’m Sammy, your classic Labrador Retriever, and I’m so excited to tell you all about myself! I’m a three-year-old Labrador Retriever boy with a soft beige coat, weighing around 20 kg (about 44 lbs). Right now, I’m a bit on the slim side, but with the right care, I’ll fill out to a healthy, sturdy weight. I was rescued from a high-risk shelter and am now on my journey to find a forever home. I’m as friendly as they come and love being around people! My Personality I’m an incredibly affectionate and social guy who’s ready to make friends with everyone I meet! Whether you’re a familiar face or someone new, I’ll come right over, lean in for pets, and even show my belly as a warm welcome. I’m comfortable being picked up if needed and will happily snuggle up with you for all the love and attention. My ideal day includes lots of human interaction—I’m happiest when I can be close to my people. Social Skills I’m friendly with other dogs and will approach them politely to say hello, especially those who are around my size or smaller. But I’m much more interested in spending time with people than other dogs. Even if another dog tries to start something, I’ll usually walk away—I’m a lover, not a fighter! As for cats, I’m not too interested; on walks, I prefer to stay focused on my human rather than chasing after them. Energy and Activities I have a lot of energy—classic Lab style! I’m always on the move, ready for adventure, and love to play. I’m especially fond of water and will jump right in if given the chance; swimming and splashing are some of my favorite activities. On walks, I do tend to get excited and pull in the direction I want to go, so I’m currently working on my leash manners. With consistent training, I know I’ll improve, but for now, my enthusiasm for exploring keeps me on my toes! I’m also flexible with potty habits, comfortable using both indoor pads and going outside. While I’m generally very quiet, I might mark in new places as I explore, just as boys like me do. Special Notes I’m a classic, fun-loving Labrador with all the typical Retriever charm. I don’t guard my food and am always calm in my kennel. My love for people and my playful spirit makes me a perfect companion for an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures and quality time. Though I can be a bit overexcited during walks, my enthusiasm just means I’m ready to embrace life to the fullest with you by my side. If you’re looking for a joyful, friendly, and loyal friend who loves both water and playtime, I could be the perfect fit. I’m ready to find my forever family and share all the love I have to give!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmo059kzr_g&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JyCFdCOD3aqqaTymHIajB76 ##2260979##
