Name: EdvardBreed: LabradorAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 25kgHeight: 65cm Highlights: Calm and affectionate, with a playful side RESCUE STORY: Hello there! My name is Edvard, but feel free to call me Ed if you like; as you’ll see I’m a really flexible, easy going guy and I love having new friends! My origins are not very well known, but that’s ok. We do know that when I was six months old, a kind lady found me abandoned in a yard with a heavy chain around my neck. She thinks I was intentionally left behind when my previous owner moved. And while that is a really unhappy start to my life, I choose to focus on the fact that I was found by such a kind, wonderful human. She brought me home to recover and to learn what it is to be safe, cared for, and loved, and for that I feel like the luckiest boy alive! TEMPERAMENT INFO: I don’t like to brag, but I may be the perfect friend? I live with several other dogs now, and I am everyone’s best friend! I love to play and romp, but I’m also really quick to pick up when the mood is more relaxed and have no problem settling in for quiet time. Heck, I even get along with cats and tiny humans! Really, I’m just happy to go along with everything as long as I’m surrounded by the ones I love. I’m a perfect gentleman on the leash, and I’m already potty trained. And if you want to surprise me with a super ultra wonderful treat, I LOVE car rides! They’re so exciting, even if it’s just for running errands! I will say though, I do not like to be left by myself. It reminds me too much of my scary start to life. But if you’re looking for a sweet, kind, easy going friend who will look at you with adoration all day long, I’d love to meet you!!!! Energy Level: Moderate Gets along with:Dogs, yes Cats, unknownKids, unknown Prey drive: no Fears: none observed Training:Leash skills: excellentHouse trained: yes Health notes: spayed, very healthy. The adoption fee for is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes transportation to Canada, if accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights throughToronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo.Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog.LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.  ##2109035##

Story
Hola! My name is Maya and this is my story: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Labrador mix (just a guess really!) Age: 7 months approx. Gender: Female Weight: 29.10lbs (13.2 kg)  Current Location: San Sebastian el Grande Jalisco Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was found near a food truck asking for some food, looking very hungry and defeated. My wonderful rescuers found me looking sad and hungry because no one was offering me any food! I count my lucky stars because my rescuers did not think twice about taking me in with open arms, letting me know I would never be hungry again and that I would be very loved!  TEMPERAMENT - I currently live at a dog hotel where I'm told I won everyone's heart from the first moment I arrived by being my sweet, gentle, loving and tender self!  Athough I was very sad when I arrived, I have grown to be a happy and playful girl, so very grateful to have been rescued! My rescuers say I am a very sweet doggy that would be a great addition to any family and I so hope to be! I have a calm and quiet temperament but I do love to play! I love to play with strollers and plastic bottles especially. I am overall quiet butI sometimes bark at noises outside of my surroundings.  ENERGY LEVEL - Medium GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes (See video here) Dogs – Yep!! I get along just fine with other dogs and am around them all day (See video here) Cats – Unknown PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say yes, I am friendly and love to sniff! (see here) but may need additional training and patience House trained – My rescuer says I am doing well to go in garage and patio but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I have been but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – Yes, I have been very quiet in car rides but I may need additional training for car rides. Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain) to offer adopters one training session at a rate of $25. Any subsequent sessions will be offered at a rate of $50. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2108183##
