Story
Hello! My name is Silky Nutmeg and I'm a 1 year old lab mix. I had a rough start here at the shelter and I'm still learning that people are friends. I'm a very shy girl, but with time I'm a really sweet and playful dog. I love other dogs, they help me come out of my shell around people. Treats are a great way to get on my good side. I could really use someone to help teach me how to be a great dog.  Interested in adopting? Visit our shelter during open hours and ask about Silky Nutmeg A056828March 18, 2025, 3:37 pm

Story
My Adoption Fee is Waived!Meet Ivy, a beautiful Labrador mix who is feeling a bit overwhelmed by the shelter environment. She’s unsure of what to expect and still figuring out what’s expected of her. Right now, the stress of shelter life has her feeling a little on edge, but we know there’s a sweet and loving dog just waiting to shine. Ivy will need a patient adopter who understands that she may take some time to settle into a new routine. A calm, quiet home where she can decompress and feel safe will make all the difference. With love, reassurance, and a little time, Ivy is sure to blossom into the loyal and affectionate companion we know she can be. If you have the space in your heart and home to help Ivy feel secure, she’ll repay you with a lifetime of love. Could you be the one to give this sensitive soul the second chance she deserves?Ivy has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. Story
Alanis is a sweet gal who takes a little bit of time to warm up - she has found the shelter to be a scary place. However, she has given volunteers face licks and welcomed pets after time for introductions. This pup looks like she has had at least a couple litters of puppies, and is much deserving of some time to herself in a loving home.Alanis recently met some social dogs at our shelter.  She seemed uncomfortable with other dogs and gave all kinds of stress signals.  She may be happiest as an only dog.  If her new home was willing to do slow introductions over several days or weeks, she may be able to live with a respectful dog.  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. Story
I got her in May 2024 from my son as a temporary situation due to housing, but it has turned into longterm. She is chipped and I got her shots. She is around 2. I have mobility issues so it is hard to take her for a walk. I just cannot take care of her. She loves being outside, so having a fenced in backyard is a must. She is friendly with everyone. She jumps up on everyone, so she needs some training that is why I do not know how she would do with small children. She loves playing with her ball and cuddling up to you at night. I fell in love with her, so I need her to go to someone who has time for her and can add her to their family. I have not had her around other dogs and cats so I do not know how she would do. She has a tendency to play rough and I cannot handle that as it is hard on my body. I had an adoption fall through this weekend due to her jumping on them please remember she is still young and needs some training, once she gets to know you she settles down.
