Story
in Orlando. Hulk is a three-month-old boy who is expected to reach medium size when full-grown. Our best guess as to breed is lab mixed with terrier, possibly Boxer. He was found in an abandoned building so we don't know what his parents look like. Hulk is a gorgeous puppy with shiny black fur and a personality to match. Hulk loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and would make a wonderful addition to any home. If you are interested in meeting/possibly adopting Hulk please apply at buddiesforlifeinc.com. His $175 adoption fee (PayPal or cash only, please) includes neutering, vaccinations, fecal exam, collar, and leash. Hulk is also current on his heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives.

Story
Meet Athena! Athena is a beautiful 2-year-old pure breed Labrador Retriever, a spayed female with so much love to give. Athena was surrendered by her owner because they couldn't afford to take care of her and wanted a better life for her. Athena is seeking a foster home with few to no dogs. She does not do well with our pack. She is good with little dogs from our observation and cats. She is good with children but would do best in a house with older children because of her size and her tendency to excitably jump. Athena is very smart and knows the most common commands and tricks. She does need to lose weight so weekly exercise is important. Athena is growing her fur back from a flea allergy. Athena has a very great temperament. Athena has separation anxiety. When left alone she can't hold her bladder unless she is crated or has a diaper on. She will need someone that either works from home or is willing to work on this anxiety with her.  ##2135365##

Story
Volunteer Notes:I was incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to take Autumn (A556496) out for a Doggie Day Out. Her genuine personality beamed all day with both me and my husband. She delighted in playing fetch with the ball in the backyard and running around exploring. Autumn wisely chose her own toys from the bin, opting for the more durable chew toys. While she liked chewing them, she easily left them behind when called. Autumn was a bundle of affection all day. In a heartbeat, I found her leaning against me, craving closeness in my lap. She certainly made me feel treasured and appreciated, but all she needs right now is to be showered with love.Autumn is a remarkable leash walker through the neighborhood, demonstrating her ability to sit on command and learn new commands through positive reinforcement. She exemplifies perfect behavior in public, warmly greeting everyone she meets. Our visit to Starbucks for a pupcup and Andy`s Frozen Custard was a highlight of her day, bringing her immense happiness and us immense delight. What resonated with me about Autumn was the unconditional love she shared with both me and my husband throughout the day. Her adorable expressions, marked by lively eyes and forehead wrinkles, were absolutely captivating. Autumn`s desire for cuddles and affection was heartwarming, and by day`s end, she was peacefully sprawled out on the backseat of the car, exhausted.Autumn will undoubtedly win your heart with her loving and affectionate nature, just as she has won mine. I invite you to spend time with her and experience the profound love she has to offer. What I observe when I take Autumn offsite is a personality filled with love, intelligence, calmness, and a zest for enrichment. She gets along with all men, women, and children, displaying the best manners meeting my neighbors. Although she may be seen pulling or jumping when leaving her kennel at the shelter, those behaviors are nonexistent offsite. She takes extended walks on a leash without pulling, and she does the same on lake walks. Autumn will let her nose lead while displaying excellent leash manners. Autumn thrives on enrichment, whether it be from her human or independent play. She`ll play fetch and drop the ball with a command and treat (still learning to drop it). She loves unlocking puzzle toys, locking PB from a `lick pad` or chewing durable toys that squeak.Others have said she does not do well in a crate. I

Story
From her foster mom: Carlie is a sweetheart wrapped into a small package. She is a level 4 clinger and wants to be by your side all the time. She would prefer to be an only dog or at least your most affectionate dog. The only resource she is interested in guarding is affection. She will bully another dog away from you in order to have her favorite spot at your feet. That said, she will not bother another dog in the yard and has shown no interest in the cats. As long as she is right next to you. Although she may be older, she has the energy of a puppy and can run and play with the best of them. Please consider providing Carlie a human of her own in 2025.Volunteer Notes: Carlie (A559531) was my bestie for a Doggie Day Out. Wait! Is she really a tiger with her perfect brindle coloring? She`s been known to jump and twist like a dolphin in her kennel to grab your attention. So is she a dolphin? Nope! Sweet Carlie is definitely a dog who has been known to hunt only lizards in the yard. She did take time from hunting to enjoy her peanut butter enrichment and a fun walk around the neighborhood. I had the pleasure of observing a truly inspiring senior dog, whose energy levels rivaled those of a much younger dog! She delighted in playing fetch with the football and, when not resting beside you, pursued lizard-hunting with gusto. Her day was capped off perfectly with a scrumptious homemade custard cone from Andy`s and a pupcup. Come visit this amazing girl to discover the full extent of her sweetness and loving personality.

Story
Sable is being fostered in Tennessee. Sable is a wonderful dog whose only goal in life is to cuddle you and be loved. Sable is a confident dog who gets along with cats and every single dog he has met. Nothing phases Sable, he loves to go on adventures, rides great in the car and is a perfect gentleman on a leash. Sable will do well in a quiet or hectic household, he doesn't startle easily and overcomes new challenges quickly. He uses a doggy door, kennels well and runs the house freely without worry. Sable does have some separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone...other animals in the house are a comfort but he really wants humans nearby. He is not destructive but does search for you if you leave. He has puppy energy but a walk or another dog to play with will make him content and he will be a couch potato with you once you get energy off him. Great with kids of all ages and will make an amazing family dog. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Hello! I'm Bella, a sweet 3-year-old Lab with a heart full of love. I'm searching for a forever home where I can stay with my brother Marley or have another furry friend to keep me company, so I never feel lonely again. My story is a difficult one. When our family decided to retire and live on a boat, Marley and I, who had been with them since we were pups, no longer fit into their plans. Our owner announced that if no one took us by the time he reached his property, he would shoot us. With a gun in his possession, he was on his way to carry out this unimaginable act when, thankfully, our kind-hearted marina manager couldn't let that happen and called a loving couple who stepped in to save us. It's hard to believe that someone we trusted could consider such a fate for us. I've been spayed, I'm up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and housebroken, though I'm not crate trained. I get along well with other dogs and am very people-focused, though I'm not sure how I am around kids. I love going for walks and am very calm on the leash, even with distractions. I never pull at all. Having spent my entire life with Marley, I will need support if separated from him. I'm a quick learner but need help with impulse control, as I can be a little squirrel-obsessed. I've been known to chase chickens, though I've never hurt one. Proper introduction to cats will be necessary. I'm sweet, playful, and eager to please my people. I'm a very special dog, and if you want a running partner, a dog to do agility, flyball, or other athletic activities, I'm your girl. I love having a job and light up when the trainer is working with me. At the end of the day, I turn into a couch potato who thinks she's a tiny lap dog. Despite everything, my spirit remains unbroken. If you're ready to give me the loving home I deserve, I'll be waiting with a wagging tail and an open heart. 🐾❤️ My adoption fee is $325, but you can get me and Marley together for just $500!

Story
Kylo was adopted last December. He is a sweet boy and loves to cuddle. He gets along well with our Shiba Inu and American Bully and loves to play with toys. He is about a year and a half old and is full of energy. He completed a basic training course at PetSmart but he is still learning not to jump. Due to his rambunctious-ness, he is probably not suitable to be around young children. He has a calm demeanor most of the time. There have been a few instances were he has acted very aggressively on hiking trails to larger dogs, like German shepherds.
