Story
Name, age, breed: Lando, 2yrs, Lab mixLikes: Going for walks, car rides, food/treats, attention, snuggles, chuck-it balls, nyla bones, toys, but he is an aggressive chewer, so most toys don’t last long!Dislikes: Seems to be okay with most things, exception being items he believes are of value to him and shouldn’t have (dryer sheet, kleenex) and will guard them, but with redirection and treats, he will usually drop the item. Additionally, he doesn’t like to be forced into situations, such as going into a crate. What would be the ideal home? I think Lando will adjust to any home over time, however, he does bark sometimes, so apartment living would not be recommended. He would probably love to have a canine sibling to play with.Good with other cats? NoGood with dogs? Yes, but be mindful that he will guard his items and foodGood with children? He does fine meeting children and would probably adjust just fine to a home with children 10+ due to his size and his occasional behaviour to guarding. Lando currently lives with a 15-year old and he LOVES her.Temperament: Lando is a pretty laid back dog and does like to lounge, but given his age, he can get destructive if he’s not exercised regularly. Walking at least once daily and/or having another dog in the home to play with is recommended.Motivators? Treats and toysAny commands? sit, paw, down…he needs extra training on ‘come’ because he either doesn’t know what it means or chooses not to listen!House trained? YesCrate trained? No. Lando does not like the crate and will react if you place any amount of force to get him in. If a crate will be used, patience and time will be required. How long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? (will get overstimulated, will pull on leash if sees a rabbit, guarding behaviour etc…) Su

Meet Tucker – A Sweet, Loyal 11-Year-Old Lab Mix with the Energy of a Puppy! If you’re looking for, loving companion who will shower you with affection, meet Tucker, an 11-year-old black Labrador Retriever mix with a heart of gold. Tucker is a sweet senior boy who’s ready to settle into a comfortable home where he can enjoy his golden years—but don’t let his age fool you! Tucker has the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger dog and is always ready for a good walk, play session, or a tasty treat. He may be 11, but he certainly doesn’t act his age!Tucker is a loyal and loving dog who has so much to offer. While he loves his people and is a bit of a “couch potato” after some exercise, his energy and enthusiasm will surprise you—he’s proof that age is just a number! He’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet, enjoy daily adventures, and spend his days in the company of a dedicated, experienced owner.Training & Behavior Needs:Tucker is a quick learner and loves food rewards, making him highly motivated for training. He knows a few basic commands but would benefit from some reinforcement to keep him sharp and well-mannered. Here’s what you need to know about his behavior and training needs:- Basic Obedience: Tucker knows the basics, but like any dog, he could use a refresher. He’s very treat-motivated, so positive reinforcement and food rewards will work wonders in reinforcing commands like sit, stay, and come. He may be an older dog, but his brain is sharp and eager to learn!- Behavior with Other Animals: Tucker has shown frustration and redirected aggression when encountering other pets, so he **must be placed in a home without other animals**. He’s happiest as the only pet in the household and prefers to be the center of attention. While he has lived with other dogs in the past, his recent behavior suggests that he would be best as an `only child` in his new home.- Adult-Only Home: Tucker is best suited for an **adult-only home** where he can receive the attention, consistency, and structure he needs. He is not a dog for first-time dog owners, as he requires someone who can provide clear boundaries and confidently manage his behavior. His new family should be experienced and patient, with a calm approach to training and managing his needs.- Frustration and Stress Management: Tucker can be a bit overwhelming when he’s excited, so it’s important that his new home provides clear structure

Story
Meet Dodge – A One-Year-Old Labrador Mix Ready to Steal Your Heart! If you`re looking for a loyal and loving companion, look no further than Dodge! This sweet, one-year-old Labrador mix is a bit shy at first, but with patience and the right environment, he quickly opens up and becomes the affectionate friend you`ve been waiting for. His heart is full of love, and he is ready to share it with a family that will appreciate his gentle nature.Dodge is a friendly, people-oriented dog, but he’s particularly fond of female canine companions. Whether it’s playing or simply hanging out together, he enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with a well-matched canine friend. He`s also extremely gentle with his toys – no destructive chewing here! Dodge cherishes his belongings and enjoys playing in a calm, respectful way.Training Needs & Requirements:Dodge is still a young dog, and while he’s made great strides in his socialization, he will need some continued training to help him become the best version of himself. Here are a few key things to keep in mind:Shyness & Socialization: Dodge may take a little time to warm up to new people, especially in unfamiliar environments. Consistent exposure to positive experiences will help him gain confidence, and treats are an excellent motivator to make new interactions feel rewarding. He`ll do best with patient, experienced adopters who understand that trust takes time.Training & Obedience: As a one-year-old, Dodge is at a perfect age for continued basic obedience training. He responds well to positive reinforcement techniques (especially when treats are involved!). Basic commands like sit, stay, and come will help him feel more secure and allow you to form a stronger bond. Consistency will be key to setting him up for success.Exercise Needs: Dodge is an active and playful dog, so regular exercise is essential to keep him healthy and happy. Daily walks, play sessions, and perhaps some light agility work would help him burn off his energy and stimulate his mind.Adult-Only Home: Dodge is best suited for an adult-only home where he can receive the calm, structured environment he needs. While he’s a sweet boy, he might be overwhelmed by the noise and unpredictability of young children, so an adult-only household or one with older, respectful children would be ideal. Why Dodge?Dodge is not just a pet – he`s a friend waiting to fill your
