Story
Charlie | Lab and Carolina Dog mix | Almost 2 years old | 62 lb | GTA Charlie is the sweetest thing on three legs! This lovable, gentle tripod boy is relaxed, easygoing, and happy to be here. Charlie had a difficult start in life: he was severely neglected and left tied to a tree. Not only was he starving, he had also broken a leg and it healed improperly because he was never seen by a vet. His early life likely consisted of a lot of pain due to this damaged leg, but thankfully one of our rescue partners found him and committed to finding him proper veterinary care and eventually a new home. Charlie's leg was amputated and he is now so happy to be pain-free and well cared for! He gets along on three legs with no issues, and he is the most loving and trusting dog despite his challenging beginning. Charlie loves to go on walks and will jump around excitedly when he sees his leash. He doesn't pull on walks but he will do an excited (and very graceful) spin move. Charlie is a real dreamboat in the house: he's comfortable chilling out in his crate, happily comes when he calls, greets visitors in a friendly way, and is fine with being bathed. He follows you from room to room because he likes to be close but has no separation anxiety and can calm down on his own. Charlie doesn't bark, beg, chew things he shouldn't, resource guard, or have accidents in the house. He's also calm with other dogs. Charlie is very affectionate and loves to be pet. He is genuinely excited to see his people each and every time they appear. Charlie was made for a soft life: at his foster's, he even grabbed a towel, dragged it over to the living room, and pulled it over himself, making his own cozy nest to watch TV. If you can offer this sweet and deserving boy all the love and softness he craves, please fill out an app: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application

Story
Alfalfa / 3 months / 12 lbs (and growing!) / Lab Mix / Good Second Dog / Very Friendly with Humans / Untested with Children / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba / Fostered in Toronto Follow Alfalfa’s adventures on Instagram @apple.the.potato. Meet Alfalfa! Alfalfa is a sweet little dude who was rescued with his mom and littermates when they were newly born from the harsh Manitoba winter. Alfalfa is now in foster care and looking to join his perfect family. Besides being adorable, Alfalfa is goofy, independent, and very curious! Alfalfa is loving all the puppy things! He enjoys time outdoors exploring, playing with his foster sibling, playing with toys, chasing toys, and chewing. Everything is new and exciting to him! When his energy is spent, he likes getting pets from his people. He has the softest fur and most beautiful eyes. When sleeping he has puppy dreams about all his adventures. Being a puppy, Alfalfa will need support in all areas including potty training and basic obedience. He is growing more confident every day but will take time to master everything and become a wonderful family pet. He would love to join a family with another dog but could also do well as the only pet in the home. As a young pup, he requires attention throughout the day, including opportunities to go outside, playing and enrichment, and guidance from his humans. Alfalfa is a smart boy and very food motivated. Alfalfa is a pretty adaptable little guy and could live in most types of homes but he is vocal so an apartment or condo where noise is an issue would not be suitable. Alfalfa has not met any kids since coming into care and he is in a puppy phase that includes jumping, chewing, and nipping so young kids may find it overwhelming. He would very likely do well with older, dog savvy kids. He has not been tested with cats. As with all puppies, he will require training and work but we have no doubt he will make a wonderful family pet. As a condition of the adoption contract, Alfalfa’s new family will be required to: - Ensure he has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time, this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit - Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required). - Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this stage. - Neuter within 6 months of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the neuter will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will be done at your own cost. Proof of neuter is required to finalize the adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Alfalfa, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form. Alfalfa’s adoption fee is $1,000 which includes the cost of his neuter surgery, if done at our partner vet (located in Mississauga). Story
Quick Facts • Name: Mamba• Age: 2 years old• Gender: Male• Neutered: Yes• Breed: Labrador mix• Colour: Black• Weight: 22kg   All About MeHello guys. I’m Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix girl, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat!   I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human’s guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my crate. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved girl even inside my crate.   I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic.   Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely.   Special Notes I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. For details, please reach out to my team and they will be more than happy to assist you!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! Mamba's YouTube Playlist ##2357572##
