*This dog is scheduled to arrive in Grimsby, Ontario on Saturday, March 22 2025*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Sasha is such a loyal love bug. She loves to cuddle, give kisses, play and be a couch potato. She is house and crate trained, and is still learning proper manners on the leash. Sasha is a fast learner, she knows how to sit and shake, and excitedly welcomes her family home every day. She enjoys daily walks, soaking up the sun, occasional zoomies and cozying up in her favorite spot. Sasha does well with other dogs as well as cats.Ideal home: one where she can relax and have her own spot, she uses her crate as a safe space; she would do well without another dog or without a yard as long as she received enough exercise through walks. She would do well with another playful dog who brings out her playful side however has displayed mild resource guarding with high value treats/toys (my dog more so, so could be due to him so I always crate when leaving them alone). She actively plays with my young puppy fosters very well. Her environment can be very versatile as long as proper care is taken to support her needs. She initially does not show interest in new people, and can take a bit to warm up, but when she does, she is very affectionate by nature. She can pull hard on the leash at times AND walk very well on it. She is still actively being trained to walk on leash without pulling, but wildlife (deer, squirrels, etc.) gets her very excited. Also when she plays with my resident dog, they play rough and growl very loudly, but it is very friendly - it may not look or sound very friendly but rough housing is their go-to play.Name: SashaBreed: Lab mixAge: ~3 yearsWeight: ~54lbSex: Female, spayedColour: TanMedical: No concerns Good with men: Yes, friendlyGood with women: Yes, friendly Good with kids 0-6: Yes, but has not lived with small kids Good with kids 6+: Yes, but has not lived with kidsGood with dogs: Yes, enjoys being around other dogs Good with cats: Yes, fostered with cats House trained: YesCrate trained: YesResource guarding: Yes, will guard high value treats/food from other dogs; eats in crate Walks on a leash: Yes, walks well but pulls/is strong Energy level: MediumRequires detached/single home: Preferred Separation anxiety: Maybe/Mild - she may bark when her foster is nearby but not accessible (i.e. when she is locked in her crate but I have not left within a few minutes, she may bark; when I walk my other dog 1:1 and she can see us through the windows, she will bark) Barker: Average

Story
Hey there, I`m Simba! I`m a young, smart, cuddly, and playful goofball with an energy level that rivals a marathon runner. I`m the life of any party, always on the go, and eager to explore. My curiosity knows no bounds, but it did land me here in the shelter. You see, I once mistook a police car for a giant toy, and gave chase, causing quite a spectacle! But don`t worry, I`m not a criminal, just a fun-loving pup with a zest for life. The animal protection officer lady picked me up and said `buddy, you don`t belong outside!`. What she didn`t know was, this ain`t my first rodeo! I`m a frequent flyer at the shelter and have been known to be a stray before. I`m just an escape artist, ready to rock and roll at any exit or opening for adventure! It`s safe to say you`ll need to keep a close eye on me and my crazy antics! I have A LOT of personality. I`m your typical high energy, fun-loving Lab always ready to have a party! I do need some work on my excitement and basic training, but I know in a home with someone that will burn off my energy, be patient, and meet my needs, I will thrive and make such a great companion! If you`re looking for a sweet, friendly, and rambunctious companion who can make you laugh, look no further. Adopt me, and let`s create our own comedic tales!

Story
***BRAYAN IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN THE VANCOUVER B.C. AREA*** Meet Brayan, your soul dog with a lot of love to give… Male I Labrador Mix I 88lbs I 4-5 yrs I neutered, UTD on shots Good with all people and calm dogs that he is slowly introduced to. Rescued from Mexico, currently looking for a home in Vancouver, BC. Background: Brayan was rescued from a highway in Mexico, where he was found running, disoriented, and scared. A kind commuter picked him up in their car, which he happily jumped into, knowing he was in good hands. Brayan was brought to the DogGo project in Puebla, Mexico where he happily lived for two years before being flown to Canada in June of 2024. He went into a foster-to-adopt (FTA) home in Ontario, and they relocated to Vancouver, BC. Brayan ended up not fitting into their lifestyle, and he is now looking for his forever home. Personality: Brayan is a people dog through and through. He loves spending quiet time at home with his FTA family or having social time when they have friends over. He is also incredibly loving and will always give new friends his paw to hold or roll over so that they can scratch his belly. Brayan has low to medium energy, and a couple of longer walks usually tire him out for the whole day. He isn’t much of a runner or player but will run around the backyard with the neighbour’s dog when the mood strikes. Brayan is fine being left at home during the day uncrated, he has never been destructive or had any kind of accident in the house. He’s happy to snooze on the couch and patiently wait for his foster family to return. Brayan loves to be outside and can walk well on the leash with a prong collar/e-collar. However, he needs lots of space on these walks from other dogs and people passing by to stay calm. He thrives in calm environments inside and outside the home and needs others to respect his personal space. Ideal Home: Brayan would be a great solo dog but would also be able to live with another calm dog who gives him his space. Brayan loves to be with his people, so a home with at least one family member often home with him would make him very happy. He is completely fine being left at home for periods of time and will quietly keep to himself. A yard would be ideal for Brayan to have calm outdoor time, or a home in a more rural area with quieter places to go on walks with his new family. Due to his leash reactivity, Brayan is looking for a strong leader and experienced owners who will continue to help him manage this so that he can thrive. Training / Activity: Brayan is very smart and picks up quickly on any new training. He has never had an accident in the home and has never been destructive when left alone. He knows ‘sit,’ ‘stay,’ ‘leave it,’ ‘heel’, and ‘come.’ His recall is okay, but it is still a work in progress. He responds well to leash pressure with his prong collar and cues from his e-collar while walking. Brayan has some leash reactivity and feels much more comfortable when given plenty of space from people and other dogs during his walks. In the past, he has lunged and attempted to bite when feeling overwhelmed, latching onto clothing without causing any harm. To help him feel secure, we recommend using a muzzle in busy areas while he continues to work on his confidence. Brayan is looking for a patient and committed family who will support him with positive reinforcement and training, helping him feel more relaxed and secure on his walks. Summary Brayan is a beautiful soul with a lot of love to give to everyone he meets. His temperament makes it easy for him to love back. With the right environment and some ongoing training for his reactivity, he will easily settle into being your new furry family member. Story
Curly/ Male / Approximately 1 year / 60 lbs / Lab Mix / Good with Calm Dogs / Untested with Kids / Untested with Cats / From Tennessee/ Fostered in Etobicoke ** Follow Curly's journey on Instagram: @curly.thecutie ** Meet Curly! Curly is originally from Tennessee and was found in a field as a tiny newborn pup with his mom and siblings. He’s now being fostered in Etobicoke and is ready for his forever home. Curly's foster describes him as a happy dog who loves snuggles and affection, including full body hugs once he is comfortable. Curly loves attention and will remind you to keep petting him by putting a paw on your leg. Once he’s comfortable with you, he will even give you hugs. He is such a gentle boy and a wonderful companion. Curly is very friendly and affectionate with his trusted people but takes some time to warm up to new people, especially men. He takes cues from his foster and shows more comfort when she knows a person and trusts them. Once he is comfortable around someone, Curly wants very much to be best friends. He is very loving and affectionate. Curly loves going out on walks and getting lots of sniffs in. Curly currently gets several walks a day, as well as indoor enrichment activities such as his treat board, which he loves, and his ball. Curly is great in the house and is crated when left alone. He has been left in the crate for a few hours and waits quietly for his people to return. He sleeps through the night in his crate as well. Curly is working on basic training but is very food motivated and eager to learn. Curly is potty trained. Curly is a bit dog selective and prefers calm dogs who let him get comfortable before trying to play but he is very curious of other dogs and open to meeting them. We also believe this will improve as he gets more comfortable and confident. Curly would make a good second dog for a family with a well-adjusted dog who will give him space. Curly has not met any cats but we believe he could live with a dog-savvy cat as he is likely to keep to himself. Curly has not met any children and although he is generally very gentle, he may be overwhelmed by loud and active youngsters. We believe he could live with older, dog-savvy children who respect his space. Curly is truly a wonderful companion and will make a family willing to put in a bit of work very happy and proud. He is a special boy and is keen to find his forever family. If you’re interested in adopting Curly please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Curly’s adoption fee is $850.
