Spanky / 3 months / 12 lbs (and growing!) / Lab Mix / Good Second Dog / Very Friendly with Humans / Untested with Children / Untested with Cats / From Manitoba / Fostered in Brantford Follow Spanky’s adventures on Instagram @peppatheshep. Meet Spanky! Spanky is a lively little dude who was rescued with his mom and littermates when they were newly born from the harsh Manitoba winter. Spanky is now in foster care and looking to join his perfect family. Besides being adorable, Spanky is curious, playful, and incredibly clever! Spanky is loving all the puppy things! He enjoys time outdoors exploring, playing tug, exploring the house and backyard, and cuddling with his humans. Everything is new and exciting to him! Being a puppy, Spanky will need support in all areas including potty training and basic obedience. He is growing more confident every day but will take time to master everything and become a wonderful family pet. He would love to join a family with another dog but could also do well as the only pet in the home. As a young pup, he requires attention throughout the day, including opportunities to go outside, playing and enrichment, and guidance from his humans. Spanky is a smart boy and very food motivated. Spanky is a pretty adaptable little guy and could live in most types of homes but he is vocal so an apartment or condo where noise is an issue would not be suitable. He loves company so a home where people are in the house or can take him with them would be ideal. Spanky has not met any kids since coming into care and he is in a puppy phase that includes jumping, chewing, and nipping so young kids may find it overwhelming. He would very likely do well with older, dog savvy kids. He has not been tested with cats. As with all puppies, he will require training and work but we have no doubt he will make a wonderful family pet. As a condition of the adoption contract, Spanky’s new family will be required to: - Ensure he has an opportunity to go outside every 2-3 hours. If you work full time, this means hiring a dog walker to come in 2x per day for a puppy visit - Attend and complete a basic obedience class at your own cost (proof required). - Provide plenty of socialization opportunities – both dog and human – it's important at this stage. - Neuter within 6 months of adoption. If done at our partner vet in Mississauga, the neuter will be included in the adoption fee. If you choose to do it elsewhere, it will be done at your own cost. Proof of neuter is required to finalize the adoption. If you’re interested in adopting Spanky, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form. Spanky’s adoption fee is $1,000 which includes the cost of his neuter surgery, if done at our partner vet (located in Mississauga). Story
Louis is a friendly loving puppy. My dad gave him to my younger sister who's in middle school, as he was in a home that backyard breeds. She unfortunately didn't realize how large the responsibility is, and that he requires more mental stimulation and exercise. They are unsure of the breed but he looks like a lab mix from the pictures of his mother. From my estimates I believe his date of birth is November 30th, 2024. We already have a dog and some left over puppy supplies so we are keeping him until we can find a suitable home. He's very social and personable, we have trouble walking him because he wants to interact with everyone. He has no problem sleeping in a crate or on a bed with one of us, but he would need a home where he isn't crated all day. He does have separation anxiety but has been making large improvements. He's a very sweet affectionate dog, and he would easily fit in well. The fee is negotiable, I just want to find the perfect home for him.

Story
Meet Koda – a sweet, floppy-eared goofball with a heart of gold and a love for life! At 11 months old and 40 lbs, Koda is that perfect mix of playful and laid-back. He absolutely adores kids and gets along great with other dogs—he's the kind of pup who turns strangers into friends with his wagging tail and silly smile. Koda is always up for an adventure and thrives on long walks, hikes, and outdoor exploring. But when it’s time to chill, he’s just as happy to curl up beside you on the sofa for a cozy nap. He's eager to learn, food-motivated, and has that endearing "big softie" energy that makes you fall in love instantly. Whether you’re an active couple, a family with kids, or just someone who wants a loyal buddy by your side—Koda is the total package. He’s resilient, affectionate, and ready to find a place (and people) to call his own. We’re urgently looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home for Koda by April 26th! If you can open your heart and home to this wonderful boy, apply below.

Story
Meet Romeo – the shy sweetheart with a gentle soul and a name that fits just right. At 21 lbs, this Lab/Chihuahua mix has the heart of a cuddler and the soul of a soft-spoken companion. Romeo is great with other dogs, loves the company of cats, and is gentle around kids. He truly blossoms when he has a confident dog buddy by his side to show him the ropes. While he’s a quiet and reserved boy who takes time to trust, those who earn it are rewarded with the most heart-melting cuddles and sweet companionship. He’s housetrained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. One of his most adorable habits? His bedtime zoomies – a happy little routine where he rolls on his back, feet in the air, in pure joy before settling in for the night. Romeo loves his chew toys, lounging on the couch, and spending time with his furry or human friends. He may be a little escape artist (you’ll want to double-check those gates!), but he’s simply searching for a place and a person to feel safe with. He’s looking for a family with patience and understanding – one that will give him time, love, and the gentle encouragement to fully come out of his shell. If you’re someone who believes the best things in life are worth waiting for, Romeo could be the one to steal your heart.
