Story
Meet Rosella! Rosella is a beautiful 8-month-old black 35lb Labrador Retriever mix who is new to our rescue. We are still getting to know her, but she is settling in wonderfully at her foster home. She loves playing with her toys and having fun with her foster dog siblings. Like any puppy, Rosella will need guidance, training, and plenty of positive reinforcement as she grows. She’s a sweet and playful girl who will thrive in a loving home that can provide structure and patience. If you’re interested in adopting Rosella, please apply! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Name: MurphyBreed: LabradoodleAge: 4 yearsGender: Male (Neutered)Size: Medium, Approx. 55 lbsAbout Murphy:Murphy is a joyful, affectionate Labradoodle with a playful and curious spirit. This sweet boy loves his outdoor adventures, especially car rides, and he’s always ready to explore new places. He’s a quick learner with a heart full of love, already knowing basic obedience commands and always eager to learn more. Murphy enjoys being brushed and cuddling with his people. He’s equally happy playing in the yard or relaxing by your side. Murphy walks well on a leash, is house-trained, and is currently in foster care, where he’s been a joy to have around.Ideal Home:Murphy is looking for a loving home with an experienced dog owner who can offer him structure, consistency, and guidance. While he has not shown any resource-guarding behaviors in his foster home or at the shelter, it’s important to note that he has had some tendencies in the past with food, toys, and furniture. His ideal family will be familiar with positive reinforcement training to help manage any future guarding behaviors that may arise. Murphy thrives in calm, balanced environments and would do best in a home without young children or small animals. He’s had good interactions with visiting dogs, so a home with another dog who is dog-savvy and well-matched in energy would be a great fit for him, as long as introductions are made carefully.Training and Skills:Murphy is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He knows basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “come” and would love to continue his training. He’s not yet crate-trained, but that’s something his foster family is working on, and it could be a helpful tool moving forward. Murphy’s resource-guarding tendencies are something he continues to work on, but with consistent training and guidance, he’s sure to make great strides.Favourites:Murphy adores car rides, and he’ll happily accompany you on any adventure. He also loves being brushed—it’s his favorite way to receive extra love and attention!Dislikes:It has been noted in his past that he is protective of certain resources like food and toys, so it’s important to approach these situations with care and understanding.Health Information:Murphy has seasonal allergies that may require occasional medication or management. He is otherwise in good health and ready to find his perfect home.Adoption Fee:

Story
Name: TillyBreed: Labrador Retriever MixAge: 3 yearsGender: FemaleSize: MediumAbout TillyTilly is the sweetest little lady you’ll ever meet! She came to us as a stray, extremely underweight, but despite her rough start, she remains a gentle and loving soul. She’s eager to please, loves attention, and is always ready for some belly rubs. Her food motivation makes training a breeze, and she thrives on positive reinforcement.Ideal HomeTilly would do best in a home where someone is around a lot—she adores people and enjoys companionship. She is non-reactive to other dogs and seems to get along well with them, though she has a naturally submissive personality, so any dog siblings should be respectful and not overly dominant. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. She enjoys activity but is also happy to settle in for snuggles.Training and SkillsExtremely food motivated and eager to please, making training enjoyableWorking on leash manners and improving dailyKeeps her kennel clean for the most partFavouritesLoves treats (especially anything food-related!)Enjoys affection and quality time with her humansDislikesNothing notable so far—she’s a happy, easygoing girl!Adoption Fee$495, which includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip. She will also be receiving a dental in the coming weeks.Additional NotesTilly would love a home where she gets plenty of love and attention. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but more than anything, she needs a family who will continue helping her build confidence and give her the care she deserves. How to AdoptIf you’re interested in adopting Tilly, please visit us at 107 McLaughlin Road, Lindsay, Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM – 6 PM. Story
Quick Facts! Name: Mamba Age: 2 years old Gender: Female Neutered: Yes Breed: Labrador mix Colour: Black Weight: 22kg All about me Hello guys. I'm Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix girl, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat! I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human's guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my crate. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved girl even inside my crate. I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic. Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely. I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. For details, please reach out to my team and they will be more than happy to assist you! Rescue Story: Morning was saved just in time from a kill shelter, and now she’s ready to find a forever home where she can thrive and bring joy to her new family. Once she’s comfortable, she loves to show her belly for rubs! – Dog-Friendly: Morning is great at greeting other dogs, particularly those of a similar size or smaller. She’s generally friendly but prefers to avoid confrontation, even if another dog tries to provoke her. – Focuses on Her Person: During walks, Morning is more interested in sticking close to her person than chasing after cats. – Loves the Outdoors: She enjoys outdoor activities and has a normal energy level. After a day of fun, she’s happy to relax quietly at home. – Still Learning: Morning is working on her leash manners. She may pull a bit, but with ongoing training, she’s making great progress! ‍ – No Guarding Issues: Morning is easygoing with her food, showing no guarding behavior towards people or other dogs. – Car Ride Caution: Morning is a bit fearful of getting into the car and might need a little help lifting in, but once she’s settled, she’s ready for the journey. – Flexible with Potty Needs: Morning is adaptable with her bathroom habits, using both indoor pads and going outside as needed. Why Adopt Morning? Morning is a gentle and sweet pup who’s ready to blossom with a loving and patient family. She may need a little time to adjust, but once she does, she’ll be a loyal and affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a dog who will brighten your days, Morning is the perfect match!
