Story
We adopted Sam 5 years ago. He is the sweetest dog and has been a loved member of our family. He has a very friendly temperament and thinks there's nothing better than cuddling. We want to be fully transparent and disclose that Sam snapped at and bit our one year old son, who fell into him when practicing walking. It was just a startle response, but is not something we can risk happening again. For this reason we do not recommend adopting Sam if you have young children. Sam has poor recall, so we recommending keeping him on a leash or in a fenced area. He has a great sense of boundaries around food and knows to not get into our things. He is fully up to date for vaccinations and does not have any major health concerns. We have a lot of grief around the decision to surrender Sam, but we know that it is the right decision. We are so hopeful that the right family is out there who can give him the loving home that he deserves.

MEET MUNCHER! Muncher is a 1-1/2-year-old lab mix in need of a new foster or forever home. He was rescued from the high California desert as a puppy, where he was starved and neglected. Now he looks great! Muncher is a dream dog - he's dog friendly, cat friendly and people friendly. He currently sleeps on a bed with cats every night. And he weighs about 50 lbs. Story
Tim was found on 4/18/25 at Dillard Access Rd and E Peebles Rd. He came into the shelter not yet neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Meet Aphrodite, a precious pup from the mythical litter! Aphrodite is so soft and fluffy, you cant help but want to squeeze her! This little girl is ready to meet you to give you lots of puppy kisses and share her puppy breath! Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Watch Aphrodite in action with her siblings here! https://youtu.be/PHwJ-ylmjB4?si=pLxTBFJSr_6ixusg We believe this pup to be a border collie lab mix. With rescue, we can only make our best guesses, but luckily we have momma with us too! This puppy comes from a part of the U.S. where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs YOU! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their lives and helps us save the life of another in its place. Aphrodite is just beautiful and in a very loving foster home, where she will be safe until she travels to her forever home. The question is, is that furever home yours? Aphrodite is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Aphrodite’s new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. Any questions? Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Are you looking to adopt a confident, joyful, even tempered Puppy that desperately needs you? Meet Roge! He’s about 4-5 months old and weighs about 20 lbs. He will likely end up a medium sized boy. He has a super shiny soft black coat, medium length, and the softest ears! He absolutely loves attention and wants to love and be loved. Roge has a moderate energy level, he’s not super jumpy or hyper. He is pretty mature for his age as far as energy level, but of course still wants to play and loves to romp around with other dogs. Roge’s play style with other dogs is not too rough, but not gentle either, he’s a normal puppy style for his size and age. He does not get defensive when the other dog takes him down. He is innocent in his approach and very forgiving in playtime. He does not act nervous at all meeting, new people and kids. We took him out to an event where there was a lot of activity and loud talking and playing with children, and he was not hesitant at all. He is confident and secure in himself! Roge currently has a routine with crate training and going out to potty on leash. He’s a good boy, but he will need to continued training in whatever new environment he joins. Watch Rogelio's video here: https://youtu.be/QFrph6QWIn4?feature=shared Rogelio is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires.
