Story
Benji is a sweet and gentle 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix looking for a patient and understanding family to call his own. He can be a bit shy and fearful at first, especially in new situations, but once he warms up to you, he'll be your best friend for life! He's very treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze. Benji loves to play fetch and tug-of-war, especially with his favorite tennis ball! Due to his timid nature, Benji would do best in a quiet adult-only home with a securely fenced yard where he can relax and feel safe. He has shown to be dog-tolerant but would need slow and careful introductions to any potential furry siblings. With a little love and patience, Benji will blossom into the most loyal and loving companion. If you think you can give Benji the loving home he deserves, please come meet him today!!💖🐶 Primary Color: Tan Weight: 63.375 Age: 4yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Cobalt is a handsome 2-year-old Labrador Retriever looking for a patient and understanding home. He's a treat-motivated sweetheart who is eager to please and already knows how to sit for treats. He appears to walk nicely on a leash and enjoys going for strolls. Cobalt can be a bit nervous in new situations and around new people, but with gentle encouragement and tasty treats, he warms up quickly. It's important to note that Cobalt has a fear waiver, so he may have some anxieties that require a calm environment and careful handling. He's also sensitive to being touched, so potential adopters will need to go slow and build trust. Cobalt has shown some resource guarding, which means he'll need a home committed to positive reinforcement training to help him overcome this. With the right family, Cobalt will make a loving and loyal companion. If you can offer him a quiet home, plenty of love, and the commitment to continue his training, please consider giving Cobalt a chance to shine. Story
Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 42 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No Toby or Not Toby, that is the question—and the answer is Toby, of course! I mean, look at me! This smile can light up a room. My heart is as soft and shiny as this stunning coat of fur I wear upon my back. I’ll share my love with other dogs, but no cats, please. I will even enjoy the company of respectful older children 10+ who understand how to be very patient and understanding. Truth is, I’ll take all the love and affection I can get, but I want to feel safe! I’m still a pup and although I have had lots of training, like crate training and housetraining basic commands I want to find a family who will give me the time, guidance and structure I need to blossom into the best boy I can be. So, there you have it, all the answers you could need. It’s Toby of course! My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 45 pounds Kids · 5+ Dogs · Yes Cats · Dog savvy cats What My Friends Say About Me: Playtime is my jam, and I have a lot of energy to burn. So, if you like to stay active, we’ll make a great team! I already know sit, down, and wait, and I’m super eager to learn more with positive reinforcement. Training time is fun for me! I love other dogs and would be happy to have a furry friend to play and snuggle with. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I don’t know my history with cats, so I think I’d need some time to get to know them properly before we’re best buds. I would get along great with kids, but I’m a bit bouncy and energetic, so I’d be happiest with kids who are 5 or older. My adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
**Fostered in Tacoma, WA, and ready for meet & greets!** 🐾 Meet Kawasaki! 🐾 Meet Kawasaki, a handsome boy who will fill your life with joy and excitement! Making his way to you, this cute Lab mix pup is on track to be a large companion, potentially reaching over 80 lbs as he grows into his paws—though, as with all things in rescue, that's just an educated guess! Kawasaki is doing wonderfully in his current foster home, where he's made friends with a pack of three dogs. He's crate-trained and house trained. He's even started to communicate when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door and whining, showing just how smart he is by also mastering bell training. Playful, sweet, and endlessly curious, Kawasaki is sure to bring you lots of joy. His treat motivation makes continued training a breeze. He's currently living with two teenage boys and fits right in, acting like just one of the guys. Plus, he's excellent in the car, making him the ideal companion for errand runs and road trips. Since Kawasaki is still a young pup, he needs a family ready to commit to his training and socialization. Adoptive families should be ready to help him perfect his leash skills, making him a fantastic partner for neighborhood walks and scenic hikes. Get ready for a life filled with affection, as Kawasaki will repay your love and dedication with lots of kisses and loyal companionship. Kawasaki might be your perfect match if you're looking for a big hunk of love to add to your family! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/656e15bedf9fe6a8b503a29f Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
