Story
Benny is 80lbs of pure best friend! We pulled Benny from an overcrowded municipal shelter because he really stood out in the crowd. Benny loves people and always brings the fun. He is non-quarrelsome with other dogs and takes correction well when/if he forgets his manners. He would make an excellent family pet and would love an active family or owner that would take him on adventures. The best thing about Benny is that he also settles really well and is highly trainable. If you are looking to add some joy to your life, Benny is your guy! This dog is being cared for by: National Greyhound Adoption Program 10901 Dutton Road Philadelphia, PA 19154 PA Kennel License #3069. Our adoption areas include PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, MD, DC and NoVA.

Story
Through no fault of his own, Rudy was left behind during a divorce. Rudy is 6-7 years young, up to date on his shots and clean blood work. He is a larger dog, about 60ish lbs. he is house trained and isn’t a fan of the crates. He doesn’t really get into much so no crate needed really. He came from a home with children, chickens and male/female dogs smaller than him. Rudy would do well in a home with children and smaller play mate or your only dog as well. He coexists fine with cats. Rudy loves to be around children and Just people in general. He takes some time to warm up, nervous cutie guy but once he’s comfortable he will be your best friend. He loves walks and playing outside. He could use some help with some basic commands but he does pretty good off leash with stay and come. Rudy loves to be vocal, will howl sometimes and he seems to warm up faster to women and children faster then men, but again all he needs to do is feel safe and comfortable and he is all smiles.

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags RescueSouthampton Pa 18966 8/17/24 Kelce has been living the dream since October 2023. Since then, we have discovered Kelce loves every person she meets (not so much every dog, or kiddos under 10); you can't escape the lean - she'll lean in, or sit on you, so you can't stop petting or scratching her belly; she is strong on the leash simply because she can't wait to get to the next block; and LOVES car rides, and a good game of keep away, but she's doing the keep away! 10/20/23 Kelce, a Wags alumna from 2017, was sadly returned to us when her human family started to grow. As a young pup, Kelce was adopted by a couple that did not have children at the time. As Kelce's family began to grow, they say she became anxious and nervous around the babies. So, they made the difficult decision to return Kelce so she could find the perfect family that fits her quirkiness. Happy to report, after a few days with her fosters, and no longer searching for her humans, Kelce started warming up to and playing with resident dogs. Kelce is a lab mix; up to date with her vaccines; weighs 75# (though we are working on losing a few with long walks); walks well on the leash (though is dying to catch a squirrel!); spayed; and starves for attention. This big girl would be best suited in a family with older children or no children. Do you have room on your couch for Kelce to curl up next to you at the end of the day? 9/12/23 Kelce is a 5 year old lab mix who was living the life until after 5 years her people brought one of those tiny things home that smells like baby powder and cries a lot at night. I just would prefer a home with out such creatures. I am well behaved and a terrific dog. Please visit our website www.wagsrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and Wags Rescue.

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 02/23/25 Meet Echo, a spirited young soul with a heart full of joy. This one-year-old pit mix is a delightful blend of sweetness and bravery, with a dash of goofiness that's sure to brighten your day. Echo's playful nature is infectious, her curiosity knows no bounds, and her intelligence is simply remarkable. Her journey so far may have been long, but she's ready to embark on a new adventure. While Echo was in the shelter down South when she was only a couple weeks old, she was attacked by a bigger dog and suffered an injury to her jaw. It was thought that she had healed, but after her arrival in PA, she was examined by a vet who recommended that she be seen by a veterinary dental specialist. Her x-rays and examination revealed that her injury would require jaw surgery. While she is trying her best to live as a puppy, she has difficulty eating and drinking, as she is only able to open her little mouth about an inch. Echo ended up having 3 jaw surgeries. This month she finally got an all clear from the dentist and just got spayed. She has a croaked jaw and sometimes her tongue hangs out that just adds to her cuteness. With a knack for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary ones, Echo is a true comedian, always ready to bring a smile to your face. Her love for exploration and learning makes her a great companion for those seeking an active and engaging pet. Echo's bravery and resilience are truly inspiring, and she's just waiting to share her boundless love and joy with a loving family. Adopt Echo, and let her fill your home with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. To all that donated to Echos care we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You truly made difference for this sweet girl. 04/26/24 Update Echo had to have a second unexpected surgery. She had a rough couple of days, but is doing so much better. This sweet baby is a little fighter. She has a follow up appointment next week. Echo is a bit shy when she first meets you, but warms up quickly. She absolutely loves other dogs; big or small. She enjoys playing with toys and loves loves a soft spot to lay. Her tongue hangs outs a little which truly just adds to her cuteness. She is recovering well and we will add updates about her journey. 04/13/2024 Meet Echo. She is a sweet, loving, gentle 3 1/2 month old puppy who came to Wags Rescue three weeks ago from our partner rescue in Georgia. While Echo was in the shelter down South, she was attacked by a bigger dog and suffered an injury to her jaw. It was thought that she had healed, but after her arrival in PA, she was examined by a vet who recommended that she be seen by a veterinary dental specialist. Her x-rays and examination revealed that her injury would require jaw reconstructive surgery. She is currently in a loving foster home awaiting her upcoming surgery. While she is trying her best to live as a puppy, she has difficulty eating and drinking, as she is only able to open her little mouth about an inch. Here's where we need your help. Echo's surgery is expected to possibly cost $8,000. Wags is a non-profit, your donations can help us cover the cost of this surgery that will allow Echo to use her jaw properly again, improve the quality of her life, and help her to live many happy years pain free. Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 12/8/2024 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 Hello, I'm TAMMY! I'm PRETTY! I'm FUN! I LOVE dogs! I *tolerate* cats lol. I like to chase squirrels (who doesn't?)! More about me: I'm a year old, 48 lbs., and spayed. I am housebroken in my current foster home. I am crate trained but sleep happily uncrated without issue overnight. If left uncrated while you are out, Iwillget into mischief (this week I ate banana bread off the counter, then an apple pie - whoops!). I enjoy chew toys and bones, but I'm not too interested in other toys beyond the first squeak. As you can see, I am a very, very pretty pit-lab mix: my coat is short and glossy and ranges in color from "coffee-with-cream" to "milk chocolate." And just look at my beautiful, hypnotic eyes! I LOVE my people and I love to lie with them and snuggle. My version of snuggling is a little bit like wrestling at first, but I do settle down quickly. My rambunctiousness makes me well-suited for a home with older kids. I am too much for the younger set (I would definitely knock them over, plus since I am still mostly puppy, I am a bit mouthy!). I enjoy this new-to-me thing called "leash walking." I haven't done this in my past life, but I have improved greatly over the past two weeks. I only pull a little bit and I don't go too fast. I like to sniff and explore, but I usually do my business in my foster's fenced yard. I am very efficient and get it done quickly, then run back to the door to be with my person again! I am very treat motivated, but haven't figured out any tricks yetI can jump for treats though! Come meet me so I can steal your heart! I'm a pretty 1 year old chocolate lab mix who found myself wandering around the back woods in Ga. Some kind people helped me to get to Allmons Camp and now I have been in a foster home in PA for 2 weeks and can go to my forever home 12/8. I really want a forever home, it was scary out in the woods by myself. Please visit our website www.wagsrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and Wags Rescue.

Story
Local Surrender Southampton Pa PA KL 5254 Brodie and Jojo are the seniorpairyou just can't help but love. These two have been through a tough time due to their owner suddenly passing away. Brodie is a 9 year old Border Collie that is 65lbs and Jojo is a 12 year old mutt who is 47lbs. They both are extremely affectionate and just want to be loved. Walks are new to them, but they are both amazing on leash and not reactive at all. Brodie is very timid when it comes to loud noises and new people, but he is warming up wonderfully. As long as you are patient with him I promise he will make you his new best friend. Jojo loves to be outside and sunbathe. When she is inside she loves a good nap on her blanket. If you would love two seniors who will steal your heart you have come to the right place! Brodie and Jojo happily went with their Dad to their favorite boarding place. They had been here before and liked the staff. Dad gave them both hugs and said goodby and he would see them in a week. Sadly for this Senior bonded pair, Dad passed away while on his vacation and was unable to come back to get them. Brodie is a 9 year old border collie and JoJo is a 12 year old happy mutt. If you are looking for a couple of easy going companions and want to give a home to a sweet duo of senior dogs, these guys might just be your new BFF's. Wags will not consider separating them so don't ask. Jojo likes to sleep most of the time but is super affectionate and loving. Brodie takes a little time to warm up but you can speed this up by tossing a toy. They do bark at new people for a bit but this lessens as they become more comfortable with their new people. I'm a distinguished, blind, senior gentleman. I'm a small (35 lb) lab mix. I get around very well after I memorize the layout of the land. I love to play with my big foster brother and go for walks in the neighborhood. I currently live with 5 cats as well. I get along with everyone very well, small and large. I love food and treats. I'll dance on my hind legs as you get my meals ready. I love attention and to cuddle on the couch. I will flop down and roll over for belly rubs, they are my favorite. After the first evening I have not had any accidents in my foster Mom's house. I'll stand at the front door to go out. I would love to meet you and hopefully get some belly rubs.
