Story
Age 2 years Weight 26 lbs Adoption donation $699     Megan is the sweetest! She just arrived on Saturday, April 12 at her newfoster home in the northeast and she is absolutely charmed everyone,  her Foster Mom is in love! Megan gets along with everyone, she’s great with the other dogs, she’s buddies with the cats, she is sweet and affectionate, she’s just pretty much perfect! &#226&#128&#139   Megan has a rather interesting background, she was owned by a female truck driver in Mississippi who took her with her on trips all over the country. But sadly, the woman fell on hard times and gave up Megan and several other dogs.  But Megan hit the jackpot coming to Wags, she was vetted and giving her vaccinations and spayed and just arrived in the northeast at her foster home where she acts like she’s been there forever. On her first night, she just scrambled into bed with her Foster Mom and stuck her head on her shoulder and went right to sleep.   Megan is really the quintessential family dog, she doesn’t have a drop of aggression. She will make a wonderful addition to the lucky family who adopts her.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 200 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes! For more information on adopting any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com              April 13, 2025, 10:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bella – Sweet, Smart, and Full of Spark! Bella is a little heart-stealer with a smooth brown coat and a big, lovable personality. She came to us with her sister and their mama, a beautiful schnauzer mix who was medium-sized with a wiry coat and soulful eyes. While Bella doesn’t look just like her mom—she’s inherited a sleek coat and her own unique style—there’s no doubt she’s got her mother’s gentle spirit and loving nature. Bella’s sister was fluffy and black-and-white, which tells us there are probably quite a few breeds in this adorable little mix! Because of her mom’s size and build, we’re guessing Bella will grow to be medium-sized too, but in rescue, sometimes all we can do is make our best guess and let love fill in the rest. What we do know for sure is that Bella is an absolute gem. She’s playful, affectionate, and oh-so-social. She loves people, enjoys exploring, and would make an incredible companion for someone who wants a pup to share life’s moments—big and small. Whether you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, a walking partner, or just a joyful presence to brighten your days, Bella might be your perfect match. She’s ready to start her forever story. Could it be with you?I've posted a picture of Bella's mother and sister along with Bella's. We believe their were multiple fathers and Bella is a wonderful Super Mutt.  Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. If you would like to find out more please email or call Diane at... diane@ulpr.org or 870-577-3744.   Please email us at diane@ulpr.org and request an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 12, 2025, 3:53 am

Story
Meet Tomasa, a delightful and affectionate young dog with a heart full of love and a personality that shines bright! Despite her previous life, her zest for life have never wavered. She was found in a heartbreaking situation, tied up outside a home with a belt that had deeply cut into her neck. Thankfully, a compassionate rescuer stepped in, convinced the owner to surrender her, and Tomasa was given the chance she deserved to heal and find her forever home.Tomasa is a playful, energetic girl who loves nothing more than spending time with her humans. She’s the first to run to the door to greet visitors, offering them a warm, affectionate welcome every time. Her friendly nature extends to everyone she meets of all ages. That said, because of her high energy, she would thrive in a home with older kids who can match her enthusiasm.Currently living in a foster home with older dogs, Tomasa has proven herself to be well-mannered and social, sharing her space and playtime without any issues. She would thrive in a home with another dog to keep her company and engage in fun games.Tomasa is housebroken and loves her daily walks and car rides, making her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys getting out and about. She’s in the process of crate training. One of her favorite pastime is playing with toys—especially her beloved dinosaur toy—and she has a spirited side that will keep you laughing.Tomasa would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a fun and loving friend.
