Story
Meet Gil! Gil is a super sweet 9-month-old pup with a gentle soul who’s been waiting patiently for his forever home. He came to us at just 8 weeks old after being found under an abandoned house with his two siblings. While his siblings have already found their families, Gil is still waiting—and he needs someone special to help him shine. Being the most timid of the trio, Gil is understandably cautious and needs time to learn that people are kind. With patience, love, and a little encouragement, this shy boy will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. Through DNA testing on one of his siblings, we’ve learned Gil is a unique Pekingese and German Shepherd mix—a combination that makes him as one-of-a-kind on the inside as he is on the outside! Gil is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and awaiting his neuter date. He’s ready for a family who can show him the love and trust he so deeply deserves. Could you be the one to give Gil his happy ending? Consider adopting him today!

Story
Meet Ellie! This sweet girl was found abandoned on the side of the road, and we believe she’s around 4 months old. Despite a rough start, including a BB lodged in her shoulder, Ellie’s spirit is unbreakable. She’s a resilient pup who doesn’t let anything hold her back! Though Ellie can be a bit shy at first, she grows more confident every day in her foster home. Her foster family describes her as mindful and demure, with a gentle personality. Ellie loves to play, go on walks with her foster siblings, and is obsessed with squeaky toys. She’s very eager to please and, impressively, seems to be fully potty-trained! Ellie would do especially well in a home with another dog to guide her as she continues to blossom. She's up-to-date on her vaccines and ready to find her forever family, one who can give her all the love she deserves. If you're ready to welcome a loving, loyal, and playful companion, Ellie is waiting for you!

✨ Meet Clark Griswold! ✨ Clark is an 8-week-old Labrador-Hound mix with big dreams of becoming the best dog you’ve ever had—and maybe even the best Christmas gift you’ll ever receive. 🎁🐾 Just like his Christmas Vacation namesake, Clark is all about making every day feel like a holiday! He’s already overcome a tough start, bravely battling parvovirus, and now he’s ready to light up your life like the Griswold family Christmas tree. 🎄✨ Clark is up-to-date on his vaccines, sweeter than a glass of eggnog, and so cuddly he’d even make Cousin Eddie jealous. Don’t let his small size fool you—Clark is a little ball of holiday cheer, and we’re pretty sure he’ll grow up with the enthusiasm of a pup determined to cover your house in a million holiday lights. 🎅🏼 He’s even better than the Jelly of the Month Club—Clark is the gift that keeps on giving! 🧃🎁 Looking for a pup who’ll fill your days with joy, laughter, and maybe a bit of delightful chaos? Clark’s your guy. He’s the kind of dog who’ll get along with the neighbors (looking at you, Todd and Margo), and he’ll stick by your side through it all—even when Aunt Bethany starts wrapping up her cat. 🐱🎁 Adopt him, and you’ll be guaranteed to have the hap-hap-happiest family Christmas—and the best life—ever! ❤️ 📩 Apply for Clark or one of his siblings on our website today!

Story
Red is a Yellow Lab mix. We rescued him a little over 11 years ago. He is a sweet dog but has territorial aggression that has not gotten better with age. We have learned to take an abundance of caution and safeguards to prevent him from getting out, but occasionally he does escape, sometimes to disastrous results. Because of this, we fear that things will not end well for Red. The irony is that Red is a sweet dog and plays well with other dogs in a neutral setting, such as dog daycare. We live in an urban area and are getting up in years. Because of these considerations, we no longer feel that we are the best home for Red.

Story
No need to do a double take – she is stunning.:) We can admit this is not the typical dog that we bring into the rescue. She found herself in a rural shelter with her sister from another mister – Nola. And who are we to leave a family member behind, especially with those ears! Welcome the houndador – Camille! She is a doll. Camille has a goofy personality and is just a happy girl, always wanting to give kisses. Pictures don’t do her justice. She has the shiniest black fur and the softest ears, and will probably have the puppy face for years to come. She is doing great in her foster home making friends with all the canine siblings, doing zoomies in the yard and has fallen in love with a comfy donut bed. And yes, she snores. Camille is house and crate trained, rides well in the car and will make someone very lucky to welcome her into their home. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization.  We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower.  If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received. ##2317847##

Story
Mocha would love to be spoiled as someone`s one and only! She lived with other dogs when she first came to the sanctuary but has decided she prefers her own space. She loves a good `sniffari`, a walk that`s all about her, taking in all the fantastic smells her little nose desires! We`d love for Mocha to know what it`s like to be cherished by her very own special someone.

Story
Special Needs: Chewy is a senior dog with limited socialization. She becomes panicked in unfamiliar environments and around new people. It is improbable that this behavior will change at this stage of her life. For adoption, the presence of another dog in the home is essential, along with a fenced area where she can walk without a leash.

Story
Ryder came to Hallie Hill from a local shelter as a senior dog. He has started medication for severe arthritis in his right foreleg that gives him a considerable limp. He is also being treated for heartworms. He is such a sweet old man who does well with all the dogs and every person he encounters at the sanctuary.
