Story
Levi turns 4 in November and is neutered, house broken and good with other dogs. He’s very playful and sweet with everyone he meets. He knows basic commands like sit and lay down and does need more work with leash walking. I’d love to see him go to a home that would allow him to run and play as much as his heart desires.

We got Scarlett as a puppy. We are moving for work to a location where we will not be able to keep her. We are looking for a good home for her where she will get daily exercise and lots of attention; if you can give her those 2 things, she’s happy.

Story
Shadow says: "Pick me! Pick me! My name is Shadow, and I'm up for adoption in Texas and I keep getting overlooked! I've been waiting for my forever home for more than a year. I'm getting sad." Shadow is about two years old, and he weighs about 50 pounds. He seems OK with cats!! Like a typical young dog, Shadow has lots of energy and loves to play. But he does very well in his crate and can be calm. He'd be a great hiking buddy or possibly running pal. He gets along with most dogs; for some reason, he isn't a fan of one dog he knows. We're not sure why. So if an adopter has another dog, we'd recommend a meet and greet first. Shadow has been non-reactive to cats, though. In fact, we had him cat tested, and we were told, "The cats checked him out from afar, then jumped right down and started rubbing on him. He wasn't so sure about it, but he stayed calm and gave no red flags." Shadow was originally adopted from Lucky Lab when he was a puppy during the pandemic. Several months later, he was returned to the rescue because his owners were busy with their kids and had no time to train him--he was a bit of a wild child. We'd like anyone who adopts Shadow to be an experienced dog owner and continue the positive reinforcement training he's received since he was returned. We think Shadow is very smart and would love the stimulation and attention he receives during training. He'd do best in a home with a fenced-in yard and adults and or adults and kids over 15. Shadow also needs exercise and playtime. Shadow has a lot of love to give, and we'd love for him to find a wonderful forever home. He is very loyal. He's housebroken, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
Up for adoption in Texas: Angel. Angel is a stunning one-year-old beauty who’s ready to steal your heart! She is also people, dog, and cat friendly. We don't know what exactly she's mixed with, but she's gorgeous. Looks like she should be the star of a movie! This 50-pound beauty has blossomed into a loyal and sweet companion in her wonderful foster home where she lives with adults and teenagers. Angel loves nothing more than playing fetch and romping with other dogs, making her a perfect fit for an active home with furry friends. She’s fantastic on a leash, sleeps soundly in her crate at night, and even lets the resident kitten climb all over her while she lounges—talk about patience! Though a bit shy initially, Angel quickly warms up to her favorite people, showing off her affectionate side and happily sitting for treats. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and gentle pup to join your family, Angel is waiting to meet you! Check out her photos—she’s as angelic as her name suggests. Angel is housebroken, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
Up for adoption in Texas and New England, Candy. Mama Candy came to us with babies on board. After having her pups she was a sweet and attentive mama to them. Now that her babies are all raised and adopted, it’s little Mama Candy’s time to get all the attention she so deserves! Candy is about 2 years old and 48 lbs of sweet, cute, fun! And she’s a Gem! Candy loves people and other dogs and greets human visitors with a hello bark and other dogs out on walks excitedly. Candy adores the older human kids in her foster home. She knows sit and come commands. She loves playing fetch and will keep bringing the ball back for another round until she’s tired! She finds bugs a delightful snack. She responds well to correction while on walks if she pulls or zigzags. She’s not a fan of motorcycles zooming by! Candy only chews on dog toys and doesn’t dig in the yard! She’s not great at jumping in the back of cars, so you may have to help her in. Unlike typical labs, she’s a little bit of a picky eater as well as only likes certain treats, so you don’t need to worry she will steal your sandwich! She is happy hanging in her crate while her foster people are not home. Candy is walked a lot and doesn’t seem to get tired; however, at home she’s medium energy. She’s content with fetching a tennis ball then laying in her fluffy bed. She likes to know what’s going on and makes sure she’s always in a room with one of her foster people. If you are looking for a smart, gentle, medium-sized best friend, then Candy will be all that and more for you! Candy is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. If you think Candy will make a great new fur family member please apply at luckylabrescue.com

Story
Available for Adoption in Texas: Mabel! Mabel is a vibrant 6-year-old, weighing in at 60 pounds. She’s not just beautiful; she’s always camera-ready, with a smile that will light up your day. If you’re looking for a photogenic pup, Mabel is your girl – she’s a total ham! With her big personality and energetic spirit, Mabel loves to be part of the action. She enjoys the company of other dogs but would prefer not to feel confined by gates or crates when they’re nearby. If you currently have a dog at home, we recommend a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone’s a good fit! While we’re not sure how she would be around cats, she hasn’t shown much interest when passing by them on walks. Mabel is eager to please, especially when there are treats involved, making her a great candidate for continued positive reinforcement training with an experienced owner. She’d do best in a home with adults or families with older teens. House-trained, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, Mabel is all set for her forever home.
