Story
Hi, my name is Maggie, and I'm 4 years old and weigh 55 lbs. It's difficult to tell in my photos, but I have a beautiful, shiny black coat with auburn highlights. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know and trust someone, I will be the most loyal and loving dog ever. I have wonderful house manners, so my foster family leaves me with run of the house when they leave. I love toys, in fact I'm a little addicted to them! I don't chew or destroy them, I just love to carry them around, kind of like a security blanket. I love to take walks, and I have great leash manners, although I do like to stop and smell a few things along the way. So many interesting smells out there! I get along with most other dogs, but I definitely do best with a more laid back dog buddy. Truth be told, I would love to be an only dog so I can get all the attention and cuddles. I also prefer a quiet, low activity home. I'm really a low maintenance dog. Just hanging out with my people and an occasional walk, and I'm good! Please submit your application to meet me, and an adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Aster is an 8 month old, 50ish lb Black Lab/Basenji mix, but the breed mix is 100% guesswork on our part. Aster is a big, beautiful, strong, energetic young dog. She loves to take walks or hikes and explore all the things along the trail. She does well on leash, but a harness is a must since she is so strong. She also loves going to the lake. She doesn't swim, but she splashes around paw-deep in the water like it's the coolest thing ever! Aster's most favorite thing is chasing flying insects, and she has plenty to choose from with all the Cicadas and June Bugs. She is hilarious to watch when she is on the chase! She likes to play fetch and tug with durable toys; the soft stuffed ones only last about 5 minutes! Aster require a certain type of home. She warms up to women quickly, but will take a little longer with men. Small children make her very nervous, so no kids under the age of 10. She is very selective about her dog friends, so an only dog home would be best. She is housebroken and has learned some basic commands, but will need positive reinforcement refresher courses on the commands. She will be a fun and loyal companion for the right adopter. The first step to meeting Aster is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Wiley is a 6 month old, 24 lb Aussie/Lab mix puppy, but breed mix is just our best guess. We know that her mama was a beautiful Black Lab, and we have included a photo of her. We are guessing dad may have been an Aussie because of her gorgeous brindle and white markings and her cute nubbin tail. When Wiley is happy or excited, that little nubbin tail becomes a blur from wagging so fast! Wiley is full of vim and vigor! She loves to play, play, and play some more. She really needs a home with another playful dog to join her in play time. She loves to go on walks, and would be a great walking partner. When she does take a break from playing, she loves to curl up in her dog bed or cuddle next to her person. She is crate trained and working very hard on her potty training. We recommend no kids under the age of 10 since Wiley still has her very sharp baby teeth. She will need lots of sturdy chew toys to keep her chewing on the right things. The first step to meeting Wiley is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.
