This may be controversial but the best ghostbuster is Ray Stantz. No we will not be taking questions. Named after his counter part, we found Ray here to be just as silly, naive, caring, and goofy. At over a year old and weighing in at 30lbs, his medium guy is ready to chase away the boogeyman, be a gentleman of the house, and a family fan favorite. Email help@wcspot.org for more information

Story
Soft fur, a not so manly bark, and a listless gaze that will make you wonder did I turn that light off? Aransas is our current favorite deep thinker, although we're not too sure he's thinking about much other than where to get his next snack or toy! Spending his whole life without a family, we're hoping you can be the one to end that constantly worried and questioning look. If you want to provide a loving doggo with his ideal home email help@wcspot.org for adoption information.

Story
Meet Rossi! He has been waiting for his family since 2017! This young adult boy is ready to join your active lifestyle.  He had a tough start in his life, vet said that he had a broken leg at some point, but you would never know it.  He is extremely happy and so loving.  Rossi has basic obedience training and is already house and crate trained. He loves to spend his days at doggy day care.  If you are looking for a handsome running companion -- he, is it!!  Rossi currently lives with other dogs, but can be picky on who his friends are. He will need slow introductions and patience to warm up to other 4-legged friends.  He loves attention and just loves to play. Why would he not— look at him, a ladies' man for sure!   Rossi's  adoption fee is $100 in Houston, Tx or I can be transported for $350 out of state, which includes neuter, current vaccinations, health certificate, transport fees and microchip. He is heartworm negative.  Apply to adopt  him at  https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZTNovember 5, 2024, 9:38 pm

Story
Tucker is such a party pup. He turns everything into a good time and always wants to play. He never takes things too seriously…except for treats. That`s very serious business and he`ll sit on command for one. When there`s no treats on the line Tucker just wants to goof around and have fun!Tucker is a 3YO Lab mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 12/19/22. He`s very happy and outgoing, and consider everyone he`s ever met a friend. He can get a little too excited to see those friends though and has a habit of jumping on them. He just wants you to be as excited to see him as he is to see you! Tucker is both energetic and playful. He has a higher energy level and is prone to the zoomies.

Story
Dina is always jumping for joy when people stop by to visit her. Her excitement makes her come across as high energy, but outside of her kennel she’s much more calm. She’s mostly content to sniff around and investigate what’s going on around her. We’d describe her as being independent. She does enjoy being pet too though, and she takes treats gently from your hand! Dina is a 3YO Lab mix who has been in shelter since 1/6/23.

Story
Bashful comes by his name honestly. He’s sweet as pie with people and finds comfort in being pet. His shyness centers around the leash. He doesn’t seem to have had much practice with him before he came into the shelter on 8/28/23. He’s been practicing and is getting better, but his leash skills still need more work. He’s nervous about having the leash put on him and tries to dodge to avoid having it put over his head. Once it’s on he needs encouragement to feel comfortable walking on it. Treats and petting breaks are always appreciated! Loose in the play yard he’s more relaxed. He likes to walk around and sniff everything. He’s not much for toys, but he loves treats! He’s got a low energy level and he’s perfectly happy to entertain himself. He does enjoy being pet though and finds it very comforting. He gains confidence the more time you spend with him, and his tail will even start to wag some.

Story
**Available for foster or foster to adopt** Hi I'm KangaRoo but you can call me Roo or RooRoo if you like. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl that she has ever met and super smart. My foster mom says that I have something called hip dysplasia in both my hips, not sure what that is but that must be why I experience pain. A couple of months ago, I had surgery on my left hip and have healed from that. It has helped me so much with pain, and getting around. My right hip still is not good, and foster mom said she will explain this more to my new family. But from what I understand, I'll just need to keep working on building muscle in my hind legs and doing some stretching. Just like the humans do as they get older.  I am a super smart girl, and already know sit and how to walk on a leash. I do get excited when I see bunnies on walks but all you have to tell me is leave it and I calm down. My favorite things in all the world are walks with my humans, car rides, and sunbathe. I also like attention from the humans, and I'll talk to you to get your attention.  You can also check out my foster's social media pages to see some more pictures and videos of me. Tiktok- @fosterpuplife Instagram- @fosterpuplife21 Roo is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, tested heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. Fill out an app to meet this deserving girl. Her adoption fee is $200 locally and can be transported out of state for $350 (includes health certificate and travel fee).  Apply for KangaRoo today and see for yourself how sweet and lovable she is!" https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQJanuary 3, 2025, 7:40 pm

Labrador Retriever

Female, 3 yrs 1 mo
Rosenberg, TX
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marjorie is a racer, trapped in a dog’s body! She would have made it bit in NASCAR, if she only had opposable thumbs! She’s prone to the zoomies and loves to run around in circles – preferably around you. Turn coming up? No need to slow down! She’s a pro at fishtailing her body. All gas no breaks! Just because our girl has a need for speed doesn’t mean she isn’t a total softy! If she sees the opportunity for pets she’s going to take you up on it. Her preferred method for celebrating a lap well run is belly rubs. She’s not the least bit shy about flipping over and asking for them either. She`s also not shy around other dogs. She loves attending in shelter playgroups and runing and playing with her furry friends. Marjorie does know to save the speeding for the “track.” She’s a good leash walker and doesn’t do much pulling at all, proving she enjoys slowing down and taking a casual stroll every now and then. She loves treats, but doesn’t’ have any tricks beyond the zoomies yet.
