Trust us; he's worth every mile!Hunter is more than just a sweet face; he's also a quick learner. His foster family has been putting in the work, and he's been acing his obedience training. In his foster home, he's been a real champ, getting along wonderfully with non-dominant dogs and playful puppies. When it comes to humans and other animals, Hunter prefers a gradual approach so slow introductions are his preference to ensure he forms lasting bonds. He loves children! During an adoption event he was all tail wags when the kids came up for pets.Hunter has mastered the art of walking on a leash and being house-trained. Walkies are his absolute favorite thing! So if you are an avid walker/hiker this is your dog!! He's also a pro at basic commands like sit, wait, shake, down, and he's getting the hang of stay too.But what Hunter truly excels at is spreading love. He's a cuddle enthusiast who will happily crawl into your lap, showering you with affectionate kisses. So, here's the deal: Hunter is ready and willing to travel for his forever home If you believe you can provide this sweetheart with the loving and active life he deserves, don't hesitate. Story
Animal Profile:  Artie is an estimated 4-year-old, 65 lb female Lab/Shepherd mix who loves snuggles and belly rubs. She is friendly with all people, including kids. Her previous owner described her as gentle, loving, playful, and attentive with kids of all ages. Artemis is a smart girl who learns quickly and knows basic commands. She is both house trained and crate trained.  Artemis would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can run and play. Foster Update 5/3/24: Artie has been doing very well with all types of training. She can be around the other dogs without a leash and even enjoys playing with the other pups. Her "bubble" has shrunk to the point that an unfamiliar dog basically has to run into her to generate a reaction, and she's still her same cuddly self in the house.  Foster Update: Artie is a very good and chill dog with an excellent foundation of training. She walks well on leash with a training collar and heels on command. She's made tremendous progress when encountering unfamiliar dogs on walks. She doesn’t react from a distance at all and can now pass by calmly as long as they stay outside her “bubble” of about 2 feet. She's conditioned to a muzzle and accepts it easily; it seems to make her more comfortable encountering new dogs. After slow introductions, she's become best buds with a large male Lab and a medium female Aussie in her foster home. Adopter Profile: Large breed experience required Secure fenced yard required Balanced dogs OK No cats Kids OK Adoption Info: Artie's adoption fee is $350, which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Artie came to the Quincy Animal Shelter as a stray. She was adopted by a family with kids with special needs in Fall 2022 and surrendered to DGS in July 2023 because they were unable to give her the attention she deserves. She is currently being fostered in Bellingham and is available for adoption.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Animal Profile: Cody is an estimated 9-month-old, 50 lb neutered male lab mix (possibly with Catahoula) from Roswell New Mexico. He and his two litter mates were taken into the shelter as young pups and have been growing up in kennel-based foster care, including socialization with other dogs of all sizes and people. Unfortunately, despite their friendly temperaments, the three large-breed black dogs were not getting any adoption interest, so Cody has joined Dog Gone Seattle to find his forever home. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: Cody has really blossomed in foster care! He is great with other dogs -- no issues at all -- and will need another balanced dog or two in his forever home to help continue to build his confidence. He plays all day with our resident dog and loves to follow her around! He is great with his people in the home but still nervous of new people and needs time to warm up. Cody really enjoys playing with toys, swimming, hiking, and going on walks; he does best in familiar environments and with routine. He rides well in the car, is good in the crate both day and night now, and sleeps comfortably in the crate through the night. Cody would benefit an owner who has experience with initially shy dogs and can provide him confident leadership; as mentioned he will also need a resident dog(s) in the home. He has not been tested with cats but can be upon request from a qualified adopter.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was taken into rescue as a puppy and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle rescue arriving to foster care on Feb 23, 2204 and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
I’m Lady, a 7 year old chocolate Lab mix who lives with my foster mom and my fellow pups who I love to play with. I am dog friendly and crate and potty trained. I’m happy that I am loved and have buddies. I see fellow foster pups come and then leave to their forever homes. I hopefully will soon find my forever family and home. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi, I’m Koda and I’m looking for my special furever family. I’m a 3 year old lab mix, around 45lbs. My foster mama thinks that I’m very sweet, shy, and loving. I love being with my four legged friends – either dogs of all sizes or cats! That’s right, you can call me your little love bug and I will follow you around for love pats and belly scratches. I even have a trick – yup I’m a magician - throw a dog biscuit near me it will disappear! I’m smart too – I know some commands like "House" to go to Mandalay's kennel to eat, my name and I even come when I’m called! Ok well, mostly I come LOL. I’m still working on the leash bit – I get a bit too excited and a whole bunch anxious so … sometimes I forget all my manners. It probably is better that I go to a family that has older kids (and a little calmer) and I would love to have some four legged friends to play with. Well, that’s me … do you have room for a little love bug in your family? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Hi there, I'm Fefe and I am the sweetest thing. I am a 3 year old lab mix, around 50 lbs. If you are looking for a sweet best friend, partner in crime and ultimate fetch player you have found me. I love all the peoples, all the other doggos and my ball (and any other ball I can put my mouth on). I am the pup who will happily play fetch for hours and then curl up and nap beside you till you are ready for another game. If you have another dog, that's great, as a loving and happy lab I am all up for more friends. Story
Hi! My name is Scottie, but I am not a Scottie dog, I am not short with long wavy black hair, I am tall with straight blonde hair. So perhaps a better name for me would be Labbie? But I am used to Scottie as a name so we can stick with it. Plus you can make some really cool spin-offs, such as Scottster, Scottie Biscotti, Scottie Spaghetti MeatBall Yoyo, or whatever, be creative. I am an energetic neutered male, 3 year old, Labrador Retriever, with beach blonde hair and the athletic build to make any gidget fall head over heels. I am strong, so you will need a good leash holding arm for all those walks you will take me on. I can’t wait to get excited as I watch you put your tenny shoes on! I have had a couple of homes as I was once adopted from the city shelter and then abandoned on the streets to take cover from rain at a gas station and once again homeless and back to a foster home. Whew. I am looking for an active family with a gentle yet strong leader to help guide me through life and maybe teach me some leash manners and keep me as a permanent family member. I hope to learn more words from you, maybe heel, stay, roll over. I will also teach you a word. Groke, a verb, an old Scots term meaning to look at somebody while they’re eating in the hope that they’ll give you some of their food. Which brings me to my next point. As any true and classic Labrador Retriever I adore both toys and treats. But if I had to choose between the two, which do you think I would pick? Yep. FOOD! Please ask my Foster Mom for more details about me. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
I love Lily so much and it's very hard writing this. I adopted her in October of 2023 from the Everett Animal Shelter here. I already had a young Lab, Apollo, and had always had 2 dogs at a time previously Rottweilers. So I've had a lot of experience with pups. Lily is so sweet, affectionate and loves giving kisses. All my dogs have always slept on my bed and have never been in crates. If that's what you'd do to her just scroll on by. She loves to play. So much so that she's continually tearing down the rotted fence between my neighbor and myself just to go over and play with their 3 dogs. I've never had this issue with any dog I've had. I've continuously nailed boards up to keep her in my yard but nothing works. I finally missed a nail and hammered my hand. I had surgery on it last week. A volunteer has come over twice to screw more wood up only for her to break through another rotted board. She needs a home with other active dogs and kids to play with. I'm in tears now.

These pups are in Bothell, Washington too!

Story
They are siblings age 6 years old and weighs around 60LBS each. They are wonderful wonderful family dog. We had them since they were 8 weeks old and at the time our girls were young (now teenagers) and they did very well with them. We do not hnt so I can not tell you if our dogs will do well in a hunting situation. They are full of energy and will run for hours. We're desperately seeking a loving individual or family who can offer them a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Please, if you have room in your heart and home for these sweet souls, reach out to us. Your kindness could make all the difference in their lives. Unfortunate circumstances have forced us to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome our 2 cherished 6-year-old unneutered male German Shorthair Pointers. This decision to find them a new home did not come lightly since we have tried everything possible to keep them. It is due to reasons beyond our control.
