Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! The name “Slim” came from my foster mom because she said I have long, clumsy legs! I am super goofy, very curious, and when I’m excited, I wiggle like a long slinky! I am the biggest in my litter and the leader of my pack. I am also very calm and sweet, just like my mom. I have many talents: 1 – being absolutely adorable, 2 – having the best “wiggle butts” around, 3 – winning races across the yard against my siblings, and 4 – I can sit on command and take a treat gently! I really love playing with my litter mates, but would love my own family even more! Maybe I could be the perfect fit into yours?! I'm about 4 months old and come in at around 20lbs. I should be a great size when I get myself all the way growed up. I'm gonna be that perfectly pawsome size for ALL adventures, from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting! I do really well playing with the other pups but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, but at my young age and with proper introductions I should be fine with them too!
