Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Hi my name is Bubba! I'm a well behaved Chesapeake Bay Retriever with a very excited personality! I love to run, play, fetch, swim, chase ducks at the lake and cuddle on the couch! I'm great with kids, cats, dogs and people! Ball is life and I will chase the ball until I can't breathe! 😂🤣 I need exercise and play time or I will bug you until you do it. I don't have any issues with going potty in the house, I don't chew anything that isn't mine and I'm an all around well behaved dog. My owners have a toddler who has recently displayed allergies to dander and unfortunately I need to find a new home. Preferably with a backyard, fenced is optional but if not fenced then far away from a busy road. My owner has plenty of pics showing just how well I get along with kids, cats and family life. If interested more can be provided. I do barks when someone new comes into the house, but then once I know who it is I will go lay down. 😊

I got Vinnie 4-5 years ago from a Shelter. He was the last dog at the Shelter. He is a good dog. He sits/shakes hands, walks pretty well on leash. Hikes. He prefers to hike off-leash, but always stays close. He is good with my cat and most dog-savvy cats that don't run from him. I used to live on 5 acres and Vinnie had the run of it all. Doggy door and he would come and go as he pleased. He never had accidents in the house. Due to divorce, I have had to move to a townhome. He is not happy. I can't seem to get home from work in time to get his out to go potty and he has had a few accidents (my fault, not his). I'm not able to give him the life that he loves.
