Meet Willy! Willy is a year and a half old, presumed to be a black lab retriever mix. Willy arrived at HSJC early in March, with his sister, Wynona. Willy is an extremely silly boy, always so excited to go on a walk or to the play yard! With all his energy and silliness, Willy is a pretty easy-going boy. Not much of a puller on leash, just very excited to get the walk started. Willy's very smart and extremely eager to learn more every day. We don't quite know how well Willy is with cats. Willy is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations! If you are interested in giving Willy his forever home, please be sure to fill out our adoption questionnaire on our main website at: https://hsjcwa.org/adopt-a-dog

Story
This is Bolt. He is 2 years old. Born March 15th 2023. He is a very energetic dog who really needs a family who can take him out all the time and burn off the energy and get plenty of exercise. He is a ball motivated dog, would never get tired of it being thrown 😂. His vet is Banfield in Burlington. He doesn’t look like it, but he weighs between 85-90 pounds. He is kennel trained. He barks at random things/people, but is definitely friendly once you start petting him. I also have a pet allergy along side my seasonal allergies, and I am struggling everyday to give him the love and attention he needs. We also have a newborn, so spending time with him is getting hard. If you enjoy Labs he surely won’t disappoint! $500 is what we paid for him, we will be willing to go less.

Story
We are rehoming Bodie, a fun loving, smart, obedient, healthy boy. We have a new baby and can’t provide Bodie with the exercise and attention he needs. He loves to be outside, he’s a fantastic hiking, running, walking partner. He’s friendly to people and dogs, not aggressive. He’s the perfect size, very manageable to walk. He is very food/treat motivated and has done well with all classes and training and e have done. He is high energy and loves to lounge and snuggle as well. Looking for someone who is looking for an active dog and can provide for his needs. He’s healthy, neutered, up to date on all shots. Really just the perfect boy, we just can’t give him what he needs. Feel free to reach out if you are interested!

Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks! --- Who doesn't love Chocolate! Well then... Meet Duke. This handsome boy was recently surrendered by his owner who got a new job and they were at work way too much. They wanted a better life for him. Duke immediately went to a foster home with other dogs and was such a happy boy! He loves to play and would be an amazing adventure buddy, he is active, but not a spaz! ;) Duke loves everyone, he's met the foster's cats and did not seem to care. He also met goats, same response. He's good natured. He will need some training, recall needs work, so a fully fenced yard please! Duke is 11 months old and about 70#. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption. Save-A-Mutt requires a training contract and $100 refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience) on our larger breed puppies. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit. Adoptions typically take place in Marysville. We don’t hold puppies, adoption applications may be approved in just a couple days. If you are planning on a vacation or have an issue that may delay your ability to pick up your puppy within a few days of approval, please do not submit an application. Adoption fee is $475 + $100 refundable training deposit. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home. Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your dog.
