He is well behaved and trained to be a good support dog. I had the pleasure to be his mother for 12 years but due to my move, I can’t take him overseas. He is healthy and has always had his wellness plan ,up to date on all his health needs. I truly need a forever home for him now. I am willing to pay for his insurance as well. 🙏🏻💕

Story
Looks like: Lhasa Apso mix Female, 12 years old (estimated), 23 pounds Lovely Lilly is proof that age is just a number and even the most delicate and adventurous pups can hold their beautiful and fluffy curls. This gorgeous Lady loves to be out and about, explore, and go on long walks, taking in all the sights and smells. She walks nicely on leash and is friendly with humans of all ages and dogs of all sizes. This laid-back girl relishes snoozing on the couch and doing her own thing, interspersed with occasional pets and cuddles. When home alone, she is well-behaved and waits patiently for her company to return. Lilly is very smart, gentle, and confident, and will easily adjust to new circumstances and adventures. Though this charming and loving little lady gets along great with other dogs and is currently living with a few other similarly sized pups. Lilly's ideal home would be feline free as chasing cats is a little too fun! Sweet Lilly is very polite and gentle when meeting children at adoption events. Lilly was surrendered to Santa Cruz County Animal Services because of her medical needs that need a little extra TLC.

Story
Macie is a sweet, silly girl who is about 5-8 years old and 15.5 pounds.  She loves her foster mom’s dogs and is sweet to her cat. She was closed down and ill when we pulled her from the shelter. Every day her personality is blooming a bit more. She is a real homebody and will walk around the block, but would rather stay home and hang out.  She is vaccinated, chipped and spayed and has had a recent dental. Macie is a special needs dog. She needs to take medication morning and evening for her heart murmur and arthritis. She also has ointment for dry eye and is probably blind in one eye. Macie was a stray so we don't know how she got to this state, whether an accident or genetics, but she takes pills in pill pockets easily and she is a wonderful companion. Her medications and  supplements cost about $100 per month and she is a dog that will need regular grooming. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Macie is $300. If you are interested in adopting Macie, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. January 9, 2025, 12:28 am
