Sticky was rescued from the shelter when his former home was no longer able to provide him the love and care he deserved. Sticky Bun is an adorably handsome gentleman who can’t wait to meet his lucky new people. He has a non-shedding coat that will require regular grooming. Sticky Bun is an option for those with allergies or who want less hair around the house. If you’re ready for the pastry of your dreams, adopt Sticky Bun today!       Sticky Bun is a loving and handsome guy who just wants to soak up all the affection you have for him. He is a total velcro dude who will always roll over onto his back for a belly rub or a scratch under his chin. Sticky loves lounging around the house during the day but also adores his daily strolls around the block. He always has his nose in the flowers or in the tall grass he comes across. What an explorer this handsome dude is! This dude also has bouncing feet and can spring into the air like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. It is so hilarious to watch him charm everyone who is lucky enough to meet him. With a face as cute as his and with fur as soft as a cloud, you won’t be able to resist falling in love with Sticky Bun!  Sticky wakes up at 7:30 AM and goes outside for a potty trip. He then hangs out around the house and soaks up some cuddles before he is served breakfast at 9 AM. Sticky gets a few short walks a day as he checks out the neighborhood and sniffs all the best spots. During the afternoon, Sticky snoozes on his soft bed and plays with his toys. Once everyone comes home from their days, he spends some time on his back getting all his belly rubs in. He gets his dinner at 6 PM and then gets more cuddles and rubs on the couch as his foster family unwinds from the day. After one last trip to potty, Sticky heads to his crate for the night at 10 PM.  Sticky Bun gets along with other dogs as long as he has a solid intro. He is fostered with two teenagers and he absolutely adores them. He loves his walks and happily greets the world around him. He is house trained and crate trained. If you are ready for a handsome and loving best friend, bring home a Sticky Bun today!     Sticky Bun is only an option for homes with extensive prior dog owning experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 12.August 19, 2024, 11:27 am

Story
This little gem is a medical special needs pup. Sasha is a very sweet and easy going 3 year old Bichon mix; she is about 11 pounds. She loves all people and dogs and enamors everyone she meets. She walks well on leash, sleeps through the night in her crate, and does relatively well with her alone time. She has an adorable way of getting one's attention and loves to play with other dogs. Unfortunately Sasha was most likely hit by a car at some point and her spine is broken in her lower back. She has full use of all her legs, but she's completely incontinent. Her foster assists her to empty her bladder 3-4 times per day (easy to do, and a potential adopter could be taught to do it). If she is assisted to empty her bladder, her diaper stays dry and her fur stays clean. Due to her condition, Sasha is prone to UTIs, but helping her to empty her bladder regularly decreases this potential. Luckily she doesn't show any signs of pain and has a full life expectancy. Sasha will need to live with someone who is home most of the time. She'd probably do best in a home with a yard, so she doesn't always have to be in a diaper, but she would also be an easy dog for an apartment dweller as she doesn't necessarily have to be walked first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Since Sasha is "non-shedding, she will need regular grooming. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Sasha is $200. If you are interested in adopting Sasha, please complete our online adoption application at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/   . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. We will consider applicants outside the 9-county San Francisco Bay Area for Sasha, as long as applicant is able to travel to Oakland for meet and greet, and pick up. August 17, 2024, 11:31 pm
