At 22 lbs of pure, non-shedding softness, Loofah is here to scrub away your bad days with snuggles, love, and just the right amount of clinginess. This 2 year old velcro pup doesn’t just want to be near you—he wants to be on you, leaning in like he’s the human equivalent of a weighted blanket. If you’ve ever wished your bath loofah could follow you around the house, this is your chance. Loofah starts his mornings with an enthusiastic potty dash (small bladder, big commitment), followed by breakfast and a relaxing day of being right there beside you. He’s an expert in lounging, lap-warming, and staring lovingly into your soul while you work. On walks, he transforms into a happy little trotter, occasionally zigzagging like he’s composing an abstract masterpiece on the sidewalk. Squirrels? Very intriguing. Other dogs? A sniff, a nod, and a polite move-along—like the cool kid in the dog park. Loofah currently shares his foster home with two cats, and while he thought chasing them might be a fun game at first, they quickly taught him otherwise. After a firm 'no' and some serious feline side-eye, he got the message. Now? He coexists peacefully, even exchanging sweet nose boops with one of them! Because of this, we think Loofah is a great candidate for a home with cats—especially ones who, like his current roommates, know how to set boundaries. His foster family adores him and has plenty of hilarious and heartwarming stories to tell. 'People stop us on walks just to admire him—he's got that ‘ridiculously handsome’ kind of charm,' his foster says. 'He also sleeps on his back with his paws up, looking like a teddy bear that’s just given up on life. And car rides? The first time we opened the door, he hopped right in, curled up on the floor mat, and napped like he’d been doing it forever.' Another favorite quirk? Mealtime manners. 'He’ll wait patiently in the kitchen but won’t start eating until I pretend to chop veggies and ‘add’ them to his bowl. I don’t know where he picked this up, but it cracks me up every time.' Loofah is fully house-trained (as long as you don’t forget that early morning potty break!), but crating is a hard no—he much prefers your bed, your couch, or anywhere you are. He thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he finds deep comfort in human companionship. If you’re looking for an affectionate, well-behaved, cat-approved snuggle buddy who will be your devoted shadow, Loofah is ready to soak up all the love—and give it right back. March 6, 2025, 11:53 am
