Hi! I’m Paxton! I’m a 3 year old purebred Maltese boy who was apart of the same breeding/hoarding case as my friend Prudence. I was thrown into the female cages and was forced to procreate with all the other ladies. I don’t understand what human touch is. It scares me. But I do allow my foster mommy to touch me and I’m getting better with it. I do want the attention, I’m just nervous. I’m good with other small dogs but would probably do best in a home with no kids. I have never met a cat so I couldn’t tell you how I would do with one. I think they would scare me more than anything. Hi! I’m Prudence! I’m an 8 year old purebred Maltese girl looking for my final forever home. I came from a breeding/hoarding situation where I was forced to have multiple litters. I was kept outside in all kinds of weather and had to just deal with it. I don’t know much about human touch or love so I’m working on gaining my trust with humans. I am not officially spayed so I am finally I’m free of the chains of having babies! Unfortunately the doctor found some mamory masses on me, so that will be tested further. But even if I do have something big and scary, I still deserve to have the family I never had. I am good with other small dogs and kids are good too! Never met any cats though. Tiny Tim was a holiday miracle. Rescued in horrible shape, starved and matted, he never stopped wagging his tail. Hes been eating healthy food and now weighs in around 11 pounds. He needed a shave-down to remove the dreadlocks but his beautiful white fur is growing back and he will need grooming every few months. He’s an energetic 3 year old Maltese who loves doing zoomies in the house, racing around the yard, going for walks, and tossing squeaky toys. He’s good with other dogs, loves going bye-bye in the car, and is a good traveler. He’s trained to go potty outside, but his small bladder only lasts a few hours. He knows to use potty pads. Tiny is a very affectionate little guy. He loves being in close proximity to “his people”. He likes sitting on laps, being carried around, and sleeping on or next to your bed. Small children are not a good mix due to his small size and desire to be right in the midst of things. He could easily be stepped on or tripped over. Due to his confinement in his past life, he does not like being put in a crate. He did well with a puppy gate keeping him in a secure area/room when needed. Bagel is available for pre-adoption at this time until his neuter surgery is done in the next few weeks. Bagel is approx. 2-3 years old and weighs 5 pounds. Our best guess is that Bagel is a Maltese/Terrier mix! Bagel loves attention and to be pet. He does get a little nervous when you try to pick him up. I'm sure with some time to decompress from being at an animal control he will love to be held and a lap dog. OUR PETS ARE SHELTER PETS. WE HAVE VERY LITTLE, IF ANY, INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR PAST.
