Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Joy and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you! Joy is a sweet little 9-lb. Maltese who is looking for her forever home and family, since her guardian unexpectedly passed away. She is 13-years old (D.O.B. 8/8/2011), but she certainly doesn't act like a senior... she still has plenty of energy and enjoys exploring her yard and going for long walks. Joy is extremely well socialized and gets along with everybody. She's a quiet girl, and generally only barks when she decides to chase her tail. Her foster mom thinks she's a perfect little girl... a joy to have around the house! In her foster home, Joy gets along well with all the other resident dogs, but barks at the big dog. We don't know about cats, but since she's so laid-back we feel that she would be fine with cats. Joy is well housetrained and crate trained. She sleeps quietly in a crate at night without any complaints, but we know she'd love to snuggle with her new guardian in a 'big bed', as she probably did before coming into rescue. We would like for Joy's new family have someone home during the day so she wouldn't have to be by herself. She's her foster mom's little shadow, and we'd like for her family to include her in their outings. She loves to ride and is so well behaved that she is welcome almost everywhere. It would be great if her family was active so her life would be exciting and full of adventures. Joy is spayed, microchipped, current on her Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. She also had extensive bloodwork, and will receive a dental cleaning on Tuesday, 7/13/24. Joy will then be fully vetted and ready to go to her forever home. Joy's adoption fee is $400.00. We accept checks or cash for adoption fees... sorry, we do not take cards. Joy is a loving, sweet, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Joy to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Story
Introducing our three yr. old girl Sofie. She is 11 lbs. full of cuddles and kisses. We are looking for confident owners for our girl who can give her all the attention she so craves. Sofie loves to be by your side and very loyal to her family. Car rides are a breeze with Sofie as she can lay in her car seat for hours and enjoys a bit of wind in her face. She is also crate/Leash trained and has never had any accidents in our home. She has been seen by our veterinarian and is diagnosed with luxating Patellas which is very common in this breed. Stage 1 is very low risk, and she does not have any pain or discomfort. Joint supplements are recommended by our vet to keep her in the low risk for as long as possible. Sofie is a joy to be around and will have you playing with her squeaky toys all day long. Another companion in the home is preferred as she loves to play and cuddle with other doggies as well. We offer out-of-state adoptions and can arrange transportation to your location, provided that the transport expenses are covered. The adoption fee for this adorable pup is $1500, which includes all veterinary costs, comprehensive care during her time with us, and ongoing training until she finds her forever home. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
His name is Punkin. I got him and his brother from an ad on Gowilkes. I only had intentions of getting one dog but these were the last two and they were brothers and the mother had chewed the toenails off of Punkins back feet. It does not effect his walking or running in any way. He is basically a good dog. He does have some anxiety issues. Nothing someone good with dogs could not overcome. The main reason I need to rehome him is because I am simply not able to take proper care of him. Punkin has developed mange. I have tried multiple over the counter remedies that have failed. I cannot physically, timewise or financially take proper care of him. I have tried for a year now and have struggled with letting him go but I am going to have to for his sake and mine.

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 4/19/2024 Reason for being in rescue: breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Emma is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Emma is part of a group of dogs that are currently recovering from extremely poor living conditions. The conditions that we are clearing include sarcoptic mange, skin infections from dirty conditions and lack of grooming, intestinal parasites, and respiratory infections. Every dog has at least one of these conditions; some have multiple. Full records will go with every dog. Emma arrived in rescue pregnant. She gave birth to 1 puppy who sadly did not live. Emma's days of making babies are over and she's ready to live the best friend life she knows she was born for! Weight: 10 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No, but she would enjoy one What kind of home would be best for me? Emma, like any Diva, wants constant attention. Also like a Diva, she wants what she wants and expects to get it. Emma would love her adopter to be home more than they are away. Whether you live in an apartment or house, whether you are single, a couple, or a family, Emma will ease right into your home and life. She expects to be your constant companion, and your lap would be her ideal place to spend her time.  What is my personality like? Emma is a gorgeous little white Maltese/Poodle mix that's looking for a forever home. Emma is the cutest and sassiest little girl in the world. She definitely knows what she wants and isn't satisfied until she gets it. Emma would be happy to accompany you on any trips you make, whether that's some outdoor dining, a trip to the grocery store, or the dog park. This tiny Diva needs taught her basic commands such as sit, stay, come, down, and the like. She does not do well on a leash because she doesn't like anything restraining her from what she wants to do. Emma is a smart but stubborn little girl. She will respond best to love and treats during her training. Emma is looking to you to provide her with a lot of love and patience during training as she grows into being the love of your life. Emma is a sassy little girl full of boundless energy. This tiny Diva's main goal in life is to be adored and loved. She gets along fine with other small dogs.  How do I act when I first meet new people? Emma does not have a shy bone in her body. She will hop up and down on your leg to ensure you know she's there and needs some attention and loving. Once you provide that she calms down. Emma expects to be either in your arms or in your lap when she isn't exploring her surroundings. Other tips and tidbits: Based on her overall health and condition, Emma has been estimated at 18 months old by our veterinary partner. We celebrate her birthday 10/19/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. August 20, 2024, 1:03 pm
