Story
Adoption Donation   $ 499 Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: approx. 9 years old   Teddy is a sweet quiet boy who is fine with other dogs.    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  furmama23@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Age:   approx 12 years old   Weight: 14  lbs My adoption fee is $ 100  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast.   Jasmine is senior maltese female who weighs about 14 lbs. We are guessing she is 10+ years old.  she has been spayed and had a dental cleaning and lost a lot of teeth on one side. She has impaired vision and hearing but is not  blind or deaf. She is a sweet dog who does fine in a multidog foster home with other dogs. She is very quiet unless she cannot get to  where she wants to go. So if crated may cry to get out. If outside may bark to get inside. I think she would love to be walked on leash. If you serious about adopting, the first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website:   https://www.smalldogrescuene.org/August 19, 2024, 10:37 pm

Story
Meet Marge! Marge is a dainty little lady looking for a family to treat her like a princess. She loves snuggling up with her people or chilling on her fluffy bed (which of course is shaped like a throne). Marge is sweet, affectionate, and would make anyone happy to call her family. She's about 5 years old and She was recently abandoned so we don't know how she does with dogs or cats. **if you're interested in Marge, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours**

Story
LOCAL TN ADOPTION ONLY. let me tell you about Button...she is a sweet little lap dog. That should be the end of the story, but it's not. She is 9.0 years old and was surrendered to a shelter after her owner passed away. Our rescue pulled her and she has been in a my home as a foster for 6 months. At this stage of her life, Button is looking to run the show, at least in terms of getting her needs met. She is not demanding. She will be every bit as sweet to you as you are to her. She loves to sit on your lap and be petted. However, she is not here for your shenanigans and will not participate in your tomfoolery. Mess with her feet or her butt and she will give you a warning snap. One is all you get. If you don't aggravate her, you'll never see her dark side. She was groomed recently (with a muzzle) and attempted to bite nearly the entire time. But once she was finished, and the muzzle came off, she was sweet as could be instantly. She does not hold a grudge. She is pee pad trained although she will sometimes go potty outside Senior dog Adoption Fee of $112.50 Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and treated if necessary. All dogs are given monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventative.LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
This happy, energetic little guy will leave his Texas foster home on August 29th and will be ready to go to his forever home on September 2! is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you)  To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT.  Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, or in some cases in our very small private kennel facility on Martha's Vineyard and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A large majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM. **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2148641##
