Because of his background, he's extremely shy around people and spends his day snuggled up with other dogs in a secluded area rather than join in the bustle of the household. He also takes his cues from the other dogs in his foster home and will need a canine companion in his forever home to show him the ropes. Yoshi will need a family that's willing to give him extra time and patience to come out of his shell and show him how wonderful life can be as a spoiled pet. He's not ready to be leashed and his family will need a way to let him do his business outside in a fenced in yard or puppy pen until he gets comfortable enough to be walked. If you're willing to take a chance on Yoshi and give him the affection and patience he needs, you'll be rewarded tenfold watching him come out of his shell and find joy and comfort in life. Nigel is being fostered in PA. Nigel is a sweet little boy! He loves playing(chewing) toys. 😂 He loves being outside and especially loves walks! He loves to snuggle next to you on the sofa. He is dog and cat friendly. He likes to chase my cats, but he is actually playing with them. He gets very excited when it's time to eat and will stand up on his hind legs and beg. He is very active for 10 years old. He does have impaired vision but gets around very well. Nigel is on drops for dry eye and may need sedation before grooming. He will have a dental prior to adoption. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Kelly Cheng is a adorable yorkie/maltese mix who came to us as a local surrender. The fluffy, sweet lap pup who is ready for a couch of her own. She is just under a year old, so she still has a fair amount of puppy spunk. Kelly does well with other dogs, and quickly makes friends with everyone she meets. She will do well in a home committed to continuing her basic training so she can become a wonderful adult dog. Kelly will make someone very happy, we just know it! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Presenting Little Biscuit! 📣 Fresh out of the oven, this little biscuit is about 3 months old and weighs in at about 3-4 pounds. He resembles a Yorkshire Terrier mix. He is currently staying with his foster family in Lindenhurst, IL. Little Biscuit is a natural at making you want to just eat him up with those beautiful eyes and soft, fluffy white fur. He’s working hard on potty training and is getting great at giving you clues that he has to go out. He’ll use a potty pad when needed. He needs some help getting used to a leash and he is already crate trained – however with those adorable looks we think you may not be able to resist having this fluffy dream sleep cuddled up with you in your bed. 💤🛌💞Biscuit hasn’t met cats yet. He likes children, but due to his small size and puppy teeth might do best in a home with children at least 10 years old who can look out for this little guy. In foster, he’s living with four dogs, who he absolutely loves. 💕 He plays puppy hard with the other dogs and might be a lot for a senior dog to deal with - unless it’s the right one. He’s a grazer right now, so if he goes to a home with other dogs, it will be important to monitor his food to keep other dogs from eating it out from under him. With his tiny size it might also be best if he isn’t in a home with large dogs. It’s hard to resist carrying this adorable little guy around constantly since he’s just the right size and so cuddly, but when you do put him down he does a great job of playing and entertaining himself. Not surprisingly, Little Biscuit is full of love and kisses 😘 to give. He’s not particular and hasn’t met anyone he’s not willing to shower with his love and affection. ❤️Little Biscuit is getting good at recognizing his name and responding. His listening skills are improving every day, and he is making good efforts in being redirected when doing all the normal puppy things. We would love it if Little Biscuit’s home was one where he would be surrounded with a lot of love and attention, and not left alone for long periods of time - possibly in a home where there’s a human around the house the majority of the day …retired, work remote. Because of his fluff, he’ll also require regular grooming. He promises to gaze lovingly into your eyes 😍 while you do it, and also probably interrupt frequently with loads of kisses!! 😘He’s up to date on all of his age appropriate shots 💉and microchipped. This is Wo'i (pronounced like "Roy" but with a "W"). It's a Native word. Wo'i is a 1-2 yr old male Maltese. He is very skittish around people but gets along good with dogs and cats. He will do best if no young children as he scares easily. He is a flight risk so a fenced back yard is necessary. His new mom/dad will have to have experience with puppy mill dogs. He's not yet housetrained. He doesn't mind a crate and sometimes prefers one. Wo'i is not a barker. He's very quiet. He immensely enjoys being outside. He will find doggy perfume to roll in, explore the yard, and sometimes he just sits and looks off into the distance. He is about 10lbs. Not aggressive. Will be UTD on vaccines, neutered, chipped, and have certificate of health. Wo'i is not ready for adoption now, but will be ready soon. He's a looker! Currently fostered in Rockford, IL. Summer is the season for flowers. Here is the sweetest Flower of all. Yes, her name is Flower, Maltese, 3yrs of age , 6 lbs. All her vetting is complete and spayed. Such a happy little girl. Flower gets along well with other dogs no matter the size. Flower is also good with children. She loves being talked to and cuddled up on your lap. I keep a crate door open for her so she can come and go any time. She mostly sleeps in a dog bed. We’re working on housebreaking but does go on dog pads. She follows my dog every time to go out to her jobs outside. Right now, being new to the home she’s a little scared but happy at the same time. So quick moves and loud noises will scare her a bit, which is normal for being new. A fenced in yard is needed or a playpen area for her due to the size of her.
