Story
Meet Eloise! 8-year-old Eloise was relinquished to Humane Society of Imperial County after her guardian felt that they could no longer care for her. We scooped her up to become a Frosted Face in November 2023. Eloise was adopted, but sadly, nearly 7 months later, she was returned to us and is again looking for her forever home. Thankfully, Eloise was picked to go on a two-week Frosted Fling, so that she could receive some TLC while she waits for her forever family. She has been such a great houseguest that her stay has extended for over a month! Here's an update from her Fling Mom: * Eloise is most definitely a Velcro dog. She does not need to be on you, but she likes to be near you. * She is house-trained and has a bladder of steel. She can hold it forever! * She is not a picky eater. * She loves the beach and long walks! * She has perfect manners at home and at restaurants. * She loves dogs, especially other littles. * She is a very go with the flow type of gal and will sleep in bed with you until you get up. * She does not bark when people come to the door. Miss Eloise is just a love bug!" Does sweet Eloise sound like the new best friend you've been looking for? Please email adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule an appointment to meet her!

Story
How this pet arrived: Tex Mex was brought in by a community member on July 6, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Tex Mex, a shy soul who takes his time adjusting to new faces and places. In unfamiliar environments, his first instinct might be to run away, so he needs a quiet and secure home, without young children, where he can feel safe. Although Tex Mex hasn't shown his social side with us yet, he has a soft spot for bacon treats and cheese, making treats a great way to bond with him. When he's excited, he might surprise you with a burst of zoomies followed by a cozy nap (this boy loves his naps)! Tex Mex has done well with other small dogs, especially with slow and gentle introductions. Tex Mex does have some medical concerns and we would love to have you speak with one of our vets prior to adoption to set everyone up for success! If you're patient and ready to offer a loving, calm environment, Tex Mex could be the perfect addition to your family! Shy/Fearful Dog: Tex Mex requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him.Dog Reactive Dog:  Tex Mex requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 16.2 Age: 7yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
My name is Ren and I am a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund or MinPin. Whatever I am, I have been told I’m cute. I am about two years old and my coloring is brown. I was in a hoarding situation with way too many dogs, and so I haven’t had a good start in life. I am very mistrustful when you first meet me because of my past living situation. When I first arrived at my foster home, I didn’t go near anyone. But my foster mom kept picking me up and having me sit in her lap while she petted me. That was kind of nice, and now I go sit by her on my own, and I have even crawled in her lap! Strangers are frightening, but my foster mom is working with me to teach me that not all people are bad or scary. If you adopt me, you will have to be patient with me. I want to learn to love and trust, but it will take time. My foster mom says your patience with me will be well worth it because I am a sweet boy. My vaccinations are all up to date and I am working on being fully housetrained. I am also neutered. You can meet me or learn more about me by contacting JAN at crazy4mutts@outlook.com. I’m being fostered in the El Cajon area of San Diego County.
