Meet our sweet & smart Dale!. Exciting adventures await with this adorable little super-heroe! Chip 'n Dale - he is a Dachshund & miniature Pinscher Expect to have with him a lifetime of love, cuddles, and doggy treats. He is 15 pounds; although he looks taller but he is very light - he will not be over 25 pound once full grown. He is very smart; lovable, lap pup, he loves to play tag of war and loves to fetch as well. Sometimes he looks like a Bambi, such a cute face he gives you:) He is being fostered with a pack of 15 dogs and 7 cats - therefore, he is a dog and cat friendly. His best friend who is like a brother to him is Leo. So if you are looking for 2 pups, 1 small and one medium these 2 will make a great addition to your family and will bring hours of enjoyment when you then together playing and loving each other. Dale sits on the head of Leo when he goes to sleep..lol.. However, no need to adopt them together, only if you are looking for 2 pups to adopt. He is very funny, and he will provide you with lots of hours of enjoyment as he has an amazing personality. He is crate trained; he sleeps all night in his crate with no accidents.:) As with all rescued fury kids; they are going to need training, love reinforcement; as you know they all come from a tough beginning on their lives and the art of adopting a rescued creature is to bring them to be the best they can be with love and patience. Their donation adoption fee includes being spayed/neutered, they have received their 3 core puppy vaccines, dewormed, and a free health checkup through a local participating vet clinic. Story
Flora is a super friendly, athletic, and smart girl who came to us via a Baja-based rescue that found themselves inundated with 18 puppies at one time! Flora was just 8 weeks old when we got her; she was very shy and very tiny. Since that time she has grown into a wonderful young dog! She is incredibly smart and learns quickly. Flora does great with other dogs and could probably use another dog in her forever home as she loves to play. Flora is easy in the car, loves the beach and the water, and just really enjoys being a dog. Could she be yours?

Story
Meet Rockstar! Rockstar entered San Diego Humane Society-Oceanside as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on November 19th to become a Frosted Face. Rockstar is around 7 years old and weighs 16 lbs. Thanks to spending time in a foster home, Rockstar not only decompressed from the stress of his experiences as a stray and in a shelter, he really blossomed! His Fling Mom reports: "Rockstar has come a long way in 7 weeks! He has definitely gained some confidence, his silly side is coming out, and he seems to be relaxing more. It helped him to have other dogs around him, but I think he could live without dogs, too. With patience, gentleness, and understanding, Rockstar will continue to blossom! Rockstar is frightened by you reaching to pet him over his head, but if you offer an open hand, palm up, he will come up and smell it! Initially he would shake and run away from us if we tried to pet him. Now when Rockstar up on the couch, he will allow slow gentle touch. He still doesn’t trust completely, but makes small improvements everyday! Rockstar LOVES walks! He becomes a real dog, smelling, exploring and exercising. He walks well with my female dog and follows her lead. Rockstar is timid when encountering dogs on walks. But he will go nose to nose with them, allows them to smell him and he will even smell them. He is very polite and quiet. I haven’t heard him bark yet. Rockstar gets very excited and animated for meals. At first, I fed him in a separate room, but now he gets to eat with the pack. Rockstar has learned how to use the doggie door and goes back and forth through it! He loves sunning himself and will snooze on grass or pavement! A backyard is a must! Rockstar is a great sleeper. He easily can sleep 10+ hours at night! Rockstar's family will need to be patient, calm, and gentle. He is still coming out of a fearful place, but everyday the improvement is encouraging. In my opinion, food and plenty of walks is what will win Rockstar's heart. He relaxes so much outside and with a full belly!" To give Rockstar the love and security of a forever home, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I found this sweet puppy wandering on a busy street, narrowly avoiding becoming a victim of traffic. After rescuing her, I managed to locate her owner, who had adopted her from the San Diego Humane Society as an 8-week-old puppy. Sadly, the owner, a senior citizen residing in a care facility, admitted she was unable to handle Sierra's boundless energy and felt misled about her breed. When she reached out for help, I couldn't refuse. Now named Sierra, this 5-month-old pup is a whirlwind of happiness and enthusiasm. She adores people and dogs of all sizes and coexists peacefully with our foster cats. Sierra would blossom as a family dog, particularly with older, considerate children. She enjoys walks and car rides and would thrive with consistent puppy training. If you're located in Southern California, San Diego, or nearby areas, have a home with a secure yard, and are looking to adopt Sierra, please fill out our adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 6, 2025, 12:49 am

Meet Maisy – A Tiny Lovebug Looking for Her Perfect Match! Maisy may be just 7 pounds of pure sweetness, but her heart is bursting with love, and she’s ready to find a forever Valentine! At around 2 years old, this Min Pin-Chihuahua mix is hoping to meet a special someone who will cherish her gentle, devoted nature. Maisy arrived at the shelter in October 2024 before finding her way to our rescue in November, and now, she’s waiting for the greatest gift of all—a loving home. Maisy’s Love Languages: Gentle Affection – She warms up with patience and kindness, blossoming into a snuggly, loving lap dog when she feels safe. Cozy Security – Maisy is crate trained, potty trained, and pee pad trained, plus she walks well on a harness and leash! She’s a quick learner who thrives in a calm, structured home. Small Dog Social Butterfly – She gets along with dogs her size and knows how to hold her own, making her a great little companion for another small pup but she does like her own space, too. Best Fit Home – Maisy will thrive in an adult-only home where she can feel secure and build trust at her own pace. Maisy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped—ready to start her new life with you! This adorable baja mutt was rescued along with her brother Lukas. The siblings where rescued by a Ensenada Veterinarian who found them abandoned at her clinic when she opened on a working day. The pups where only about a month old so she helped bottle feed them. Sadly, with the holidays and her hectic work schedule she kept fostering them hoping to find a home through her baja clients with no luck so she reached out to us and we took the siblings in. We made arrangements to have them transported to San Diego and have been here since the first week of February. They are fully vaccinated and HEALTHY strong little pups. We of course do not know their breeds, we do know they are your typical mutts. Likely a small and large breed genetic mashed to give the perfect medium size dog. As of February they are only 20 pounds and we think they will grow into a mid 30 pound, possibly top 40 pounds. We are labeling them as terriers but they can have pit, chi, collie, lab, who KNOWS what breeds. ALL we know is they are ADORABLE and toooo sweet. They can both be shy and introverted at first but within a few minutes they open up and start loving on you. Lulu is the most outgoing of the two, super licky face who just wants your affection and lick you CLEAN! ha Lukas is a little 'less' ei a bit calmer but still equaly as affectionate. We think a labrador breed may be strong on these babies. We are looking for fosters starting Friday 2/21. Both siblings will be attending the adoption event 2/15, not ready to be adopted yet because they have surgery for sterilization but will be ready to be adopted 2/24.If you'd like to meet them in person stop by the upcoming event 2/15 and if you miss it, please submit an application online to schedule a meet and greet during the week or weekend. You are welcome to inquire about our foster to adopt trials for a week or two too!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
