Story
Luna is a sweet 9 lb cuddle dog. She would love to sleep on your bed. She’s very quiet around the house and house trained unless you don’t get her outside early enough in the morning. She loves to chase balls. She can do tricks. I inherited her from my mother, but I don’t feel I have enough time to give her the attention she deserves. And I’m not really a dog person. She was rehomed to my mom when she was four years old. She’s 12 now and in great health except she has a thyroid condition that is treated with twice daily inexpensive thyroid medication. It’s working very well. I think she’s a little bit deaf, but otherwise she’s a fabulous dog.

Story
Betty is a 6lb, 11+ year old SUPER SWEET Poodle.  Too often seniors are dumped at overcrowded shelters for many different reasons.  It could be because their owner has passed or they are unable to care them anymore, or often they have become "useless" or "too expensive" for their humans and are thrown away like yesterdays trash, easily replaced with a new, young puppy.  Dogs give their whole lives to their humans and their loyalty is unmatched, they deserve the same from us.  We try very hard to rescue as many senior dogs as possible, and find them a human that cherishes them for who they are and the love they have to give - even in their senior years.  Dogs often deserve so much more than humans give them, and we work tirelessly to make sure they get what they truly deserve.   Betty was surrendered by her loving humans family when she was unable to take care of her anymore, and her humans family could not be bothered to take care of Betty.  Betty was terrified and confused, trembling in a terrifying shelter without her Momma fir the first time ever.  The shelter reached out to us to get her out as quickly as possible because they knew she wasn't doing wel and may not make it out of there alive.  Once we sprang Betty from the shelter she immediately melted into her foster Momma's arms, as if she knew she was safe and going to be okay.  She made her way to CO on a rescue flight where she got to ride front seat in the pilots lap the whole time.  Betty has now been in CO a couple weeks and is ready to find her forever family.  She is a senior girl, and it looks like she may have some cloudiness in one eye - which comes with the territory of being older for dogs.  She seems like she is in great health and has a long life ahead of her.  She is the sweetest, most amazing little dog and her foster Momma has nothing but good things to say about her.   Her is what she has to say about her: "Betty couldn't be any more perfect.  She seems to be potty trained and she's super friendly.  She loves having an open crate to go hang out in but would much prefer to be on a humans lap 24-7.  A quiet household would be ideal for her to relax and snuggle all day long.  She gets along just fine with other dogs, but would prefer to chill and receive belly rubs and love all day long.  She would be perfect for someone who is looking for a low-key best friend to spend their days with.   If you are interested in adding Betty to your family, please fill out our adoption application at Brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2299915##

Story
Julius is a sweet, spunky 2 year old poodle (maybe mix?).  He was found as a stray in a field in Kansas.  The area he was found in is a common dumping area for unwanted dogs, so we weren't surprised when nobody came for him at the shelter.  Here is what his foster has to say about him:  "Julius is a little shy at first, but warms up fairly quickly. He loves everyone but is particularly fond of men. He would be a great addition to and active home. He loves to be outside and would make a great hiking or walking buddy. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has not show much interest in our cat. He currently sleeps in a crate covered with a blanket and has done really well and sleeps through the night, but he is also a huge love bug and would probably love to snuggle with his human if thats an option.  He even goes into the open crate during the day and takes naps, it’s his safe space and he does love it.  He is a great little dog!" Story
Theo is an adorable, approximately six-month-old, loving puppy that would thrive in a home that will show him the playful, tender attention that he deserves. He is probably a poodle mix. He enjoys being in the company of people and has shown himself to be very playful with other dogs, both big and small. He has tons of energy, loves to explore, and wants to be a part of the action. He shows signs of being a quick learner and is doing well with leash training. An ideal home for him would be one that can give him attention and exercise. His adoption fee is $375. Story
Meet sweet Emma.  Weighing in at about 13lbs with little Corgi legs, a twisty tail, and those striking blue and green eyes, Miss Emma might be an Aussie/poodle/terrier mix.  Time will tell if her coat sheds or needs to be groomed and trimmed.  She is 100% cashmere soft.  Emma is a typical puppy with a curious nature and wants to test out how all the newly green things in the yard taste and smell.  She wants to be close to her foster mom, loves to nap in her lap, and has no problem lying on her back for belly rubs and snuggles. She is playful, inquisitive, and submissive with the older and rambunctious dogs in her foster home, though the bigger pups that play rough are a little too much for her yet.  She is working on her potty training and general house manners and is very responsive to direction, makes eye contact, and wants to please - she will be a pleasure to do formal training with and will be a top student!  Due to her submissive nature, she will do well with a family with a gentle nature that is willing to make her a part of the family.  Emma has an open heart and is ready for her forever home. Scheduling her spay on 4/29.  Her adoption fee is $375.  Put in an application at  eapl.comApril 25, 2025, 6:24 pm
