Story
Eddie, aka Eddie Munster, is a young energetic boy, who was saved from euthanasia at the local high kill shelter. He is a ~60lb Cur mix who loves to run, jump, play with toys, fetch, ride in the car/truck and he especially loves treats and snuggles! Eddie’s past is a mystery as he was picked up as a stray. His foster parents have worked miracles with this boy, taking him from scared and protective, to an all around loyal and fun loving boy! He deserves loving, understanding people in his life. Eddie walks on a leash, is vaccinated and neutered. He gets along well with other animals. Story
Meet Sophia, a sweet 7 month old spayed female cur/hound mix, currently weighing about 40 lbs. She has a beautiful brindle and white coat, with spots on her legs. Sophia and her brother Boxy were sadly abandoned in TN. They can both be a bit shy and take a little while to warm up to new people, but they are very sweet dogs! Sophia is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is working on leash training.  From Sophia's current foster:  “Sophia - low energy in the house but as soon as she goes out with other dogs, she’s a playful puppy. Loves being with other dogs, her whole demeanor changes! Sleeps like a rock at night - her favorite position for sleeping is on her back. If someone is looking for a companion for their dog, Sophia would be perfect - just enough play and energy for any dog.  When she first arrived, I had to carry her out of her transport and whenever she went outside. Doesn’t like to be rushed but always gets there with gentle prodding. Want a couch potato who will be a great companion for your younger or older dog, Sophia is the one. Her personality is typical hound, aloof and low key til it’s time to play. No problem with my cat - absolutely no interest.” Apply to meet Sophia today! NOTE - all of our dogs come with a certificate of health from state of origin (TN) and from Connecticut per the 2024 CT Dept of Agriculture laws for rescue dogs. Our dogs are healthy, fully vetted, and in loving foster homes where they are socialized, housebroken and taught good house manners.  ##2055228##

Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501c3 virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.    Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Tank is one of 9 pups who found himself in a situation where his family could no longer care for him.  Tank, mom, and his siblings have joined our pack and are now looking for their very own forever homes.  Tank is a sweet boy, super playful and very confident!  He loves his belly rubbed and will melt right into you!  Tank is great with the kids, dogs and even the cats in the home. Due to Tank's energy level and need for a bit more manners training, we think he'll do best in a family of children 10 and up.  Tank and his siblings will remain small to medium sized pups as they are just about full grown based on their age.  The fosters involved with this group are working on consistent training to bring them up to speed and it's working!  They are food motivated and eager to learn. Tank is working with his foster mom on house training and basic commands and is doing well.  He does really well sleeping in his crate.  As with all new pets, Tank will need time to adjust to his new life and family.  He is hoping to find a moderately active family who has time for play and time for snuggles.  We believe he will do well in just about any home.  He will need someone interested in continuing the basic training he missed out on as a very young pup but is now getting with his foster mom in an effort to make him the very best adult dog he can be - might that be you?     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt, and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. He loves treats and toys, but ATTENTION above all. If you’re looking for a Velcro dog with a heart of gold, we’ve found your fella. He’s shy at first. He’ll take a minute to warm up to you, but once he’s comfortable your patience will have earned you a little shadow. He wants to be where you are, always.  He’s expressive; every thought he has ever had has been right there on his face. You can SEE him working through new challenges in his training, new experiences out in the world on a leash like an open, fuzzy book. Gray is playful!  He loves rope toys and a good game of tug-o-war!  He's good with other dogs - loves to run and chase.  He's active and busy and looking for a family to share that with.   Gray and his siblings have blossomed since first rescued.  The foster moms working with this crew have been dedicated and determined offering proper care, nutrition, structure, and basic training, and their dedication has paid off.  In fact, Gray has just completed a training program with one of our partners in Louisiana and did great.  Gray is a really good boy and he's learning the ways of life in a happy family environment.   As with all new pets Gray will need time to adjust to his  new family and new s urroundings.   He will also need someone interested in and able to continue his basic training in order to make him the best dog he can be.  Looking for a best friend, hiking buddy, walking buddy, who's energetic and playful - here's your guy! Tyson is an active boy - he does need to keep moving, play hard, then crash and snuggle.  Tyson's foster mom says he's really just the most "lovely pupper." Tyson and his siblings had been left to their own devices early in life, so they are now learning how to be part of a family where the people are in charge, and they are doing really well.  The fosters involved with this group have worked on consistent training to bring them up to speed and it's working!  They are food motivated and eager to learn.  Tyson is good with other dogs and is agreeable to cats - however he does like a bit of a chase - not to harm, just to chase.  As with all new pets, Tyson will need time to adjust to his new family and surroundings.  We believe he will do well in an active family with time for outdoo r activities plus indoor downtime.  He will also need someone interested in continuing with the basic training he is getting now, but missed out on as a very young pup in order to make him the best adult dog he can be.  The effort will be rewarded with love and compan ionship for a lifetime. Story
JUST  ARRIVED IN THE NORTHEAST ON SATURDAY AUGUST 10!   Age 9 weeks as of 8/7 Weight 14 lbs Adoption donation $850 Boy, do we love Winifred! She is an absolutely adorable puppy who is so smart and a loving, kissy faced chunky monkey. Winifred  just arrived in the northeast on Saturday, August 10 and has immediately made herself at home, playing with her new foster siblings and wanting to snuggle with everyone she meets.  Winifred appears to be a pointer mix. Her mother showed up at the home of an elderly couple in rural Mississippi and almost immediately gave birth to two puppies. Sadly, Winifred’s sister wandered off one day and was never seen again. So there’s just Winnie and Mom now, and both need loving homes.  Mom is about 38 pounds, dad didn’t stick around.   Winifred is about nine weeks now in early August, she is just a typical puppy, sweet and cuddly, with lots of tail wags and kisses. Wags has administered two of her three puppy shots and Bordetella, Winnie will need a  rabies shot after she is at least 12 weeks. Winifred is too young to be spayed, she will have the procedure in the northeast when she is older, Wags will pay at one of the clinics that we use or reimburse adopters what we pay. her Mom is about 38 pounds, dad didn’t stick around!   We’d love a home for Winnie where someone is around a lot to give her the attention that she needs. Like any puppy, she needs structure and training to grow up to be the very good girl we know she can be. for more information please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com            August 19, 2024, 7:04 am

Story
weight 42 lbs age: 1 adoption donation: $599 Isabella is an awesome, friendly and super sweet girl who would make an amazing playmate for another dog. Isabella was found wandering the streets of Okolona, Mississippi and taken into the rescue and immediately charmed everyone. She spends her day running with all the other dogs and is a wonderful big sister to all the puppies. She is gentle and loving and will just make a wonderful family dog. Recently the rescue took Isabella into their cat house and she had no reaction whatsoever so we expect that she would be fine with kitties as well. Isabella will need a little time to adjust to being in a home environment. She is house trained but like any rescue she may need some guidance when she adjust to a new home. She hasn't had much practice walking on a leash, but she is a smart girl and learns quickly. Isabella doesn't have a drop of aggression, she is all tail wags and kisses.   Wags is a licensed 501 C3 where one woman takes care of almost 150 homeless and stray dogs many of them have expensive medical needs.. Adoption fees include transport, vaccinations, microchip, and spay or neuter. for more information on Isabella or any of our rescue dogs please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com     August 19, 2024, 7:04 am
