Story
Dobby is just the best. Like seriously, the nicest dog on the planet!! He's kind, smart, and loyal. He came to Helpless Hounds in April from a hoarding situation, with some physical scars. He was also Heartworm Positive. But you'd never know about his sordid past because all he wants to do is cuddle and play with his soft toys. And he loves alerting his people to all the rabbits munching in the yard. Dobby knows basic commands and how to use the dog door. He loves his foster brothers (2 bassets, 1 redbone) and ignores the cats. He's good with people of all ages. He'd love to have another dog in the house but would likely do ok as a single. He is 6 years old, weighing around 45 lbs. Here’s what to know: 🧑‍🚀 dog friendly & loves playing wrestle with other dogs. 🧑‍🚀 potty trained 🧑‍🚀 he will get as close as he can to you when cuddling 🧑‍🚀 no jumping 🧑‍🚀 walks great on a leash 🧑‍🚀 loves sleeping in bed with his humans 🧑‍🚀 would be such a LOVING addition to a home Someone must want a smaller hound with a soft bark!! You can take him on a week-long sleepover to try him out in your home! BONUS: His DNA test results are in!! Can you guess what type of mix Dobby is??

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
When Pearl was found she was emaciated and had awful wounds on her face, she required and received intensive care when she arrived to the Tulsa SPCA. We do not know for sure how she got the wounds but know she does not like a lot of barking. Both here and in foster care she has been loving and affectionate towards people and while in foster care she did well with the grandchildren of varying ages. Pearl would have to be the only dog in the home with a loving and patient family that would not hold her flaws against her. She detests cats. While in foster care she did fine in a crate.

Story
What’s worse then being abandoned and shun to the streets with your brother, having to not only fend for yourself, but fend for a litter of puppies and trying to keep them safe? Buster helped his sister keep her litter safe until we found them and brought them to safety. These two are a very bonded pair and we will only adopt them together, but what is better then one dog TWO of course. They just love to be loved on. They will need some basic training. Both are crate trained.

Buster and Abby need to be adopted together if all possible. They are a very bonded pair. They love people. They were found as stray and Abby was pregnant. Puppies have all been adopted and now it is Abby and Busters time. Buster and Abby are as sweet as can be and with a little training will make great pets. Requires a privacy fence.
