Story
Margot is true to her breed. She is gentle, friendly, and loves to be pet. She walks well on a leash and is good with our kids and cat. Margot is a one year old Newfoundland. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is crate trained. She is very friendly to people and other dogs. She loves stuffed animals and playing with other dogs when she gets to be boarded or go to daycare. We had plans to train her as a therapy dog, and she would be great at this. However, I didn’t foresee that my special needs kiddos would be triggered by her instead of calmed by her. She loves to stay close to her people and this makes my kids incredibly overstimulated and has impacted their well being and led to a lot of behavioral issues for them. We have made the tough decision to rehome her. We would love to see her go to a family that may want to train her as a therapy dog. However, she would make a great companion for anyone. She keeps up with long walks and but is happy to lay at your feet.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $300 if picked up in TN, $375 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Kippens, the lovable giant with a heart of gold! At 9 months old and already 90 pounds, this Newfoundland puppy is a gentle, playful soul with a medium energy level. Kippens has a knack for making everyone smile, especially when his puppy clumsiness gets the best of him, resulting in adorable tripping, sliding, and rolling during playtime with other dogs. Kippens is a quick learner and already knows commands like "sit" and "down." He’s house trained in his current space, waits patiently to go outside, and even uses a doggie door! While he hasn’t been crated recently, he’s reportedly crate trained. This fluffy boy loves belly rubs, having his hair combed, and taking walks. He’s a pro at car rides, though he needs a bit of work on his leash manners. Kippens gets along well with other dogs and is curious but respectful around goats. He hasn’t met cats up close but seems unfazed by them. Kippens would thrive in a home with a tall fence and preferably with people experienced with Newfoundlands. Due to his size, older children would be a better fit. Kippens has shown he’s willing to learn and trust, no longer jumping up after just a few days of training. Ready to add a big, fluffy bundle of joy to your family? Kippens is eager to find a forever home filled with love, play, and plenty of belly rubs!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 11, 2024, 11:07 am

Story
Maggie thinks her nick name of Maggie Beana Beana Beans is just fun and it makes her wiggle.  She was born about June 10, 2015 and weighs about 100 lbs.  She has never been off leash as she lived on a very busy road.  Maggie has SEVERE skin allergies and has for some time - she has suffered long.  Her owner couldn't afford allergy testing and so the vet she saw simply put her on steroids.  Then the owner became ill and realized she could no longer physically care for her and felt the best thing for Maggie was to give her up so she could get the care she needed.  Sadly, when she contacted the large humane society in her area she was told she'd be euthanized.  Although Joyful Rescues isn't the one with deep pockets.....we do have a deep commitment to help a domestic companion if we possibly are able and we are often able due to the unwavering kindness and generosity of so many of our supporters and followers. We sent Maggie to the dermatologist and tried various she was prescribed various drugs.  Maggie will never regrow her hair because of damage to the hair follicles.  The good news is most of her irritation and odor has been resolved.  Maggie will live out the rest of her years here at Joyful as a sanctuary dog where she loves to meander through the 8 fenced acres at a snail's pace, go for a wade in the pond, then nap in the sunroom or on warm days lounge on the deck soaking in the sun.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_n/a Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html.
