Story
Kate is appx 3 to 4 yrs old, she might be a pekingese. Her beautiful coat is very soft! She's a happy girl that weights about 10lbs max. She walks well on leash, loves to play with toys and her soft beds. She loves to snuggle as well and she does well with other dogs and people. She is actually trained to work with autistic kids so she's great with kids of all ages including toddlers! She does well in car rides, could be a picky eater but as long as you mix some cooked veggies, meat and broth with her kibbles, she will eat them! Please email internationalpawangels@gmail.com for adoption inquiries.

Story
FOSTER NEEDED! Scooter was rescued by Jelly's Place after being hit by a car in the Central Valley, without use of his back legs. He has been treated by our vet and had some pretty serious fractures to his lower spine. We thought he would never be able to walk, but Scooter keeps surprising us! This fierce little boy has a strong spirit, and can now stand occasionally, and is doing great with his "wheels"! We absolutely adore this doggy and can't wait for him to find his furever home who will love him as much as we do. The perfect home for Scooter would be a quiet home, adults/older kids, with a nice soft yard where he can play and chase squirrels. He would be fine with another small to medium dog. He is so loving and resilient, he will bark at stranger but quickly become their best friend. Scooter is a small loving boy with a lion's heart. He is currently our office dog so you will have to prove your love for him for us to let him go. Scooter is neutered, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. If interested in meeting this very special boy, please complete an application at jellysplace.org.

Story
FOSTER OPTION: Blaze is a young, active, playful guy who enjoys hanging with other dogs and his special people once he gets to know them. Blaze came to Jelly's, along with his sister Ember, after being found. He does not seem to have been well socialized and is a fearful, timid dog. He needs the right person willing to put in the time and patience to help him learn to trust. Apply at www.jellysplace.org or come visit us.

Story
This little gem is a medical special needs pup. Sasha is a very sweet and easy going 3 year old Bichon mix; she is about 11 pounds. She loves all people and dogs and enamors everyone she meets. She walks well on leash, sleeps through the night in her crate, and does relatively well with her alone time. She has an adorable way of getting one's attention and loves to play with other dogs. Unfortunately Sasha was most likely hit by a car at some point and her spine is broken in her lower back. She has full use of all her legs, but she's completely incontinent. Her foster assists her to empty her bladder 3-4 times per day (easy to do, and a potential adopter could be taught to do it). If she is assisted to empty her bladder, her diaper stays dry and her fur stays clean. Due to her condition, Sasha is prone to UTIs, but helping her to empty her bladder regularly decreases this potential. Luckily she doesn't show any signs of pain and has a full life expectancy. Sasha will need to live with someone who is home most of the time. She'd probably do best in a home with a yard, so she doesn't always have to be in a diaper, but she would also be an easy dog for an apartment dweller as she doesn't necessarily have to be walked first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Since Sasha is "non-shedding, she will need regular grooming. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Sasha is $200. If you are interested in adopting Sasha, please complete our online adoption application at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/   . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. We will consider applicants outside the 9-county San Francisco Bay Area for Sasha, as long as applicant is able to travel to Oakland for meet and greet, and pick up. August 19, 2024, 9:06 pm
