TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Corgi Dachshund mix (we think) and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

More and more dogs were being admitted into the shelter, and the risk of euthanasia grew so Tayo was rescued. * With People: Accepts petting and enjoys it so much that he was named Tayo (meaning “likes touch.”) Isn’t shy and shows affection even to new people. * With Dogs: Initially got along well with the other dogs at the Center, but has recently showed annoyance at them so more observation is needed to see if he can live with other dogs. * Separation Anxiety: Currently living at the Center, so it’s unknown if he has separation anxiety. May need training if he lives in a home environment. * Potty Training: 100% outdoor potty as he currently lives at the Center. * Grooming: Likes being brushed and stays still! * Walks: Very good at walks and walks in step with his handler. * Car Sickness: Has no carsickness and does well in cars. ❗Health Condition❗ * Neutered. * Microchipped, being treated for heartworm

Animal Profile: Our friends Angels of Rawleigh alerted us to an adorable 'yorgi' named Iggy that needed rescue from California. He was social, happy and playful with everyone and we couldn't pass up the chance to safe this scruffy boy. He is about a year old, and weighs under 18lbs. Foster Updates: Iggy is an adorable and sweet little low rider -- a ball of energy who grabs a toy every time he sees a person. We are getting started on teaching him some basic commands, as well as helping him learn to be calm. We have done slow introductions with our two dogs and Iggy seemed a little intimidated but did okay. Adoption Info: Ziggy's adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, vet visit and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I came from a hoarding situation where there was about 20 of us stuck inside this house. Because of having to fight for lovins and food I would probably do best in a quieter home. I can be more dominant and would do best as your one and only or with a more submissive smaller dog. I like to play with them and have a grand ole time getting a good game of chase going on. I will need a slower acquisition period with a 4legged playmate. I am so super loving with my people, coming up with smiles (yes, I have that corgi smile!) and tail wags. I is a sweet, adorable pup of around 3 years old and 12lbs that has that cuteness overload that will win over your heart with my charming and sometimes silly personality. I would make a great companion for a retired person or someone that works from home. I is ready to start this next chapter in life with lots of puppy kisses, tail wags and cuddles with my new family!! And I do give the sweetest lil kisses!! I do great with people and even do well with the smaller versions. I did get the chance to meet one of those creatures y'all call a cat and I'll be honest...I didn't know what to think!! I still not quite sure what to think but she didn't run from me and even let me get in a few sniffs. She seems to be A-Okay and most of the time I don't really pay her any never no minds! I am crate trained and I'm working on my housetraining and doing fairly well with it. I'm let out often and it didn't take me long to know to do my business outside and haven't had an accident in a while. I will need some guidance in leash training as I've never had the pleasure of going for a leash walk. :( But I think with a little patience I'll really enjoy them! I sleep all night long and my favoritest spot is...you guessed it, right beside you in bed!! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application!
