Story
Paja: I have an adorable face with the cutest pink nose! I am super-friendly and affectionate once I am comfortable in my surroundings. I have good history of going outside for hours at a time and returning on my own. It is not imperative that I be placed as an indoor/outdoor cat, but I would likely enjoy a safe outdoor option in my new home. I have been diagnosed with FLUTD. I have been prescribed a urinary diet, and have shown good litter box manners!!! Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) describes a collection of conditions that can affect the bladder and urethra of cats. Cats with FLUTD usually have episodes of straining and discomfort when urinating, increased frequency of urination, and blood in the urine. Sometimes these symptoms can be caused by a urinary tract infection or bladder stones, but most commonly a cause is not identified. Stress can be a factor in these episodes and cats with this condition should e monitored closely in the period of adjustment after adoption. It is recommended that my adopter promptly establish care with a primary veterinarian for ongoing management of this condition. I had a borderline increase of protein loss in my urine (UPC). This can be due to being intact, or have other reasons. It is recommended that my adopters have a veterinarian recheck a urine protein creatinine ration in 4-6 months. Compatibility:Dogs: No thank you - the least amount of variables for Paja, the better!Cats: No thank you - Paja has a history of fighting with cats in a previous home.Kids: Possibly, no history. Any kids in the home should be cat-savvy or have adults in the home who are going to be very involved in managing their interactions. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Jasper: I am a big, handsome guy, friendly and social once I am comfortable. I have good litter box manners! I can be shy and nervous around strangers since I have only lived with one person since I was adopted at 4 months. It is recommended that my adopter start me in my own space (an extra bedroom or bathroom) - a space that people or pets will not use unless going in to clean or feed. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to a vertical surface such as a cat tree or a cat-proofed shelf. I can gradually be given more access to the home when I am confidently moving about my environment with relaxed body language when my adopter visits me in my room. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Compatibility: Cats: YesDogs: Possibly - no history, perhaps a mellow, cat-savvy dogKids: Possibly - no history, teens +

Cleo: I am here with my buddy Hunter. Our owner passed, and since we are very attached to each other, we want to be adopted together. Double the fun, double the love! We both have good litter box manners. We did not get along with the two cats and two dogs in a temporary home, so our adopter should probably not have any existing cats or dogs in their home, and since I am fearful of loud noises, a calm, quiet home will be best for us. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
