Story
Paja: I have an adorable face with the cutest pink nose! I am super-friendly and affectionate once I am comfortable in my surroundings. I have good history of going outside for hours at a time and returning on my own. It is not imperative that I be placed as an indoor/outdoor cat, but I would likely enjoy a safe outdoor option in my new home. I have been diagnosed with FLUTD. I have been prescribed a urinary diet, and have shown good litter box manners!!! Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) describes a collection of conditions that can affect the bladder and urethra of cats. Cats with FLUTD usually have episodes of straining and discomfort when urinating, increased frequency of urination, and blood in the urine. Sometimes these symptoms can be caused by a urinary tract infection or bladder stones, but most commonly a cause is not identified. Stress can be a factor in these episodes and cats with this condition should e monitored closely in the period of adjustment after adoption. It is recommended that my adopter promptly establish care with a primary veterinarian for ongoing management of this condition. I had a borderline increase of protein loss in my urine (UPC). This can be due to being intact, or have other reasons. It is recommended that my adopters have a veterinarian recheck a urine protein creatinine ration in 4-6 months. Compatibility:Dogs: No thank you - the least amount of variables for Paja, the better!Cats: No thank you - Paja has a history of fighting with cats in a previous home.Kids: Possibly, no history. Any kids in the home should be cat-savvy or have adults in the home who are going to be very involved in managing their interactions. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Jasper: I am a big, handsome guy, friendly and social once I am comfortable. I have good litter box manners! I can be shy and nervous around strangers since I have only lived with one person since I was adopted at 4 months. It is recommended that my adopter start me in my own space (an extra bedroom or bathroom) - a space that people or pets will not use unless going in to clean or feed. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to a vertical surface such as a cat tree or a cat-proofed shelf. I can gradually be given more access to the home when I am confidently moving about my environment with relaxed body language when my adopter visits me in my room. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Compatibility: Cats: YesDogs: Possibly - no history, perhaps a mellow, cat-savvy dogKids: Possibly - no history, teens +

Simone- I am a pretty orange lady, a rarity!! I love to be brushed, especially on my face. I am active and playful, but on the shyer side, and will hide a lot, but with time and space I will feel comfortable enough to re-emerge. I will need a very slow transition to my new home and any existing pets while I settle in and become comfortable in my surroundings. I do not handle transitions well, and busy environments are hard for me, so a quiet, low-traffic home will suit me best. Stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center to meet Simone. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm- 4:30pm. No appointment is needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets. You are welcome to enter our cat rooms during open hours. Staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you!

Chloe: Wait till you meet me .. I am told I am beautiful! I am also diabetic, and staff will provide information on my diet and medical care to potential adopters. I have lived a very quiet, sheltered life with an elderly woman who is now in senior housing. I usually hide from visitors, but otherwise I am a lovely lady with no behavior concerns, and with good litter box manners. I have no history living with other pets. Stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center to meet Chloe. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm- 4:30pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets. Dante: My previous owner found me as a stray around a year ago hanging around the outside of her house. She states that I was slightly fearful and hid the first few days, but I very quickly warmed up to her. My nickname is `purro` because I like to purr a lot, and when I am called that, I will roll over for belly rubs! I do well around teenagers, and when visitors arrive I may hide for a few minutes, but then come out to say hi. I have good litter box manners! I used to cuddle with the other cat in my home, and I liked to follow my previous owner around the house to just hang out together. I have lived with dogs, and enjoyed spending time with them. Stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center to meet Panther. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm- 4:30pm - no appointment is needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets. Story
Meet kitty Armondo!!!  He and his litter mates did not have the best start in life.  Their mom was a member of a feral cat colony that lived in a ravine.  People were very concerned about the little family and were finally able to trap them all.  Mom was feral.  The babies were scared but nice.  It just took a little while for them to understand that people are nice and are trying to help them.  Mom was spayed and released and the babies went to a loving foster home.  They have now all been totally vetted and are ready for their forever homes.  Armondo is a sweet but shy 12 week old kitten.  He loves to play with his siblings Leo and Amschel.  They have the biggest time running and playing.  Armondo is a polydactyl/Hemmingway kitten.  He is unique in that he has 5 toes.  It looks like he has hands.  This sweet boy is a very good boy.  It took no time at all to litter box train him.  He would love to have a home with one of his brothers.  If not though he definitely needs a home with another kitten or young cat.  He has been through too much to not have a companion.  Armondo is a special boy with the tiniest of meows.  He will be an excellent companion and addition to your family.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Armondo is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)      November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Hi my name is Ricky Ricardo!  I am an 14 month old young man whose first 8 months were horrific.  I was born on the property of an oil company and lived in the pallets on the property with my brothers.  We were all part of a feral cat colony.  These nice ladies learned about our situation and decided they had to help us.  They started feeding us and then put these long narrow cages out with the most yummy food inside.  I could not resist and in I went.  Well guess what???  I could not get out.  That was very scary.  Then they took me to this building and left me.  That was the vet.  They were actually taking care of me!  That was first for sure.  Miss Becca stepped up to foster me and has helped me to adjust to INSIDE life as a pet.  I love it and have adjusted very well.  I get great food every day and it is never too hot or too cold.  I get along great with the other 5 cats here and am good with her young boys.  We run and play and have the best time together.  We can be adopted with a sibling or by ourselves.  We are all ready for the journey to our forever home.  To be considered for your family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. (We are currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)March 15, 2025, 8:37 pm

Story
Hi my name is Tessa.  ! was born on the property of an oil company and lived in the pallets on the property with my foster brothers. Miss Becca stepped up to foster me and is helping me to adjust to INSIDE life as a pet.  I was the last one to come to my foster home.  I am younger than the boys and am behind them in my social skills.  I watch the people from afar.  I want to be petted and loved on but am still a bit afraid.  I just need a nice loving home where people will give me a chance to adjust and settle in.  I know that I can do it and become a very loving kitty.   I just need a little time.  I get along great with the other 5 cats here.  So may be if I had a feline friend in my forever home that would help.  I a spayed, current on all my shots, FIV negative and microchipped.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)December 23, 2024, 12:05 pm

Story
Hi my name is Derrick.  I am an all black and slinky kitty, with a white mark on my chest- wide eyes and a long tail! I am very affectionate with my siblings.  I used to snuggle with them and clean them often! One of my brothers was adopted right after Christmas and the other one was adopted on January 20.  I miss them but am now ready to find my forever home.  Hopefully it will be with you.  I am food driven, love treats and a cozy spot on the couch or near the fireplace. I am a very social boy and I stay out and about the home but can still be a little scared of QUICK human contact.  You just have to go slow.  I do though follow my foster mom around! I like to know where she is and I love her attention.  If you are looking for a snuggle buddy for your kitty this I am your guy!  Derrick is neutered, current on all shots, FIV negative and microchipped.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net,  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Derrick is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Princess Spotify has been with Critter Cavalry Rescue for a month.  She has blossomed and has gained confidence that humans will love her and support all her needs.  She came from a motel resident that found her at the edge of the woods as a young kitten.  She took her in and as she grew a little older, she knew she could not afford to spay her and keep her fed.  Now Critter Cavalry Rescue has this most unusual beauty in their care and she is a showstopper in the looks department for sure.  We have never seen such unusual SPOTS!  She is ready to be adopted and her attributes are many.  Friendly, sweet, but still a little timid, Spotify loves her cat tower and wand toys.  She also loves chasing balls in the plastic interactive tiered tower and she adores head scratches, and rolls over for a quick belly rub.  Good with other cats which is wonderful, this girl is only 7 months old and ready to claim her castle in a new home.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm
