Story
Sahara is a unique and sensitive soul looking for a patient adopter who will let her settle in at her own pace. She enjoys attention when she’s comfortable but also appreciates her independence. Sahara has hyperesthesia syndrome, which can cause her to occasionally bite at her tail or feet, especially during stressful transitions. With a quiet space and understanding, she has shown she can relax over time. She’ll thrive in a low-traffic home with someone committed to reading her body language and working with a Fear Free vet. If you`re ready to give Sahara the time and support she needs, she could be the perfect match for you!****This pet is currently spending time in a foster home. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ever wanted to live with a tiny house panther who might secretly be a celebrity in witness protection? Meet Oreo. He’s got the looks, the attitude, and the dramatic flair of a superstar. Oreo enjoys the finer things in life—high perches, quality playtime, and humans who understand that “too much petting” is a real thing. He’s a cat who will demand attention and then immediately act like he doesn’t know you. Classic...He’s not interested in living with other cats, and he’ll need humans who respect his personal boundaries. He can get a little overexcited when playing, so wand toys are a must (for safety). If you’re looking for a cat who’s equal parts handsome, hilarious, and just the right amount of chaos, Oreo might be the perfect house panther to fill that spot in your home.If you think this cat could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily – no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat rooms during open hours. Staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you!
