Selma is sleeping on the bed and purring when petted. She is food motivated and weight about 14 pounds and is losing weight quickly. She and her sister lived in a room and like to hide but you can win them over by petting them for a quick purr or feeding them treats. They have been to the vet for their spay, shots and always use their litter box. They need a quiet home, but are coming out of their shells. They are extremely bonded and will sit on top of each other causing you to wonder if the bottom cat can breathe. Flo, a luxurious soft gray, and Pam, midnight black, both with beautiful green eyes, are 8.5-9 yrs old. They met in a shelter, where they spent a long time, and are quite timid. They're good cats and would love a quiet home (no kids, no cats or dogs) where they could have their own space to enjoy the sun and lots of naps. Pam and Flo are perfectly happy just to keep one another company and do not seek out petting or laps. As their photos show, sometimes they're velcro kitties, and sometimes they want their own space. They need lots of time to build trust with their caregiver, one who will be patient and kind and understanding as they slowly settle in. Their foster mom lovingly refer to them as “my decoratives”. I adopted her from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA six months ago. She is 4 years old. They told me she has a limp in her front legs due to her previous owners throwing her out of a moving car. She does not like being picked up and I think that’s why. I wish for her to go to a quiet and cozy home. She scares easily and hides when spooked. I wish for her to also go to a home where she has hiding spots, a cat tree and a few toys (she loves little fishes attached to a yarn string to chase). When she’s not being aggressive, she was quiet, playful, and cuddly. She has the cutest little meow and purrs.
