Story
Are you looking for a handsome and distinguished pup? Well, look no further than Stanley! Stanley is a well-trained 7 and a half year-old pooch who weighs in at 55 pounds. He was found as a stray with an old eye injury that doesn't slow him down one bit. In addition to being extremely good looking, Stanley is also quite smart! He’s completed a board and train program, with lifetime follow-ups available to support his training. Stanley thrives with structure and will do best with an owner who can maintain that environment. An adventurous spirit, Stanley loves car rides and is a wonderful companion for outdoor activities, especially long hikes where he shines on a leash. He’s even gone camping before. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Stan is your man! Stanley gets along with other dogs, though he usually prefers females to males. He has also lived with cats before.  Stanley is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, so he's ready to move in if you'll have him! If you're interested in meeting Stanley, visit EHRDOGS.ORG and submit an application. Don't forget to ask for STANLEY MARTIN STEELE!August 19, 2024, 11:05 am

Meet Valeera. This sweeet momma, her 3 pups and baby daddy, were all seized by animal control and taken out of a neglectful situation. Despite her past, she is happy and very friendly. Her Mommy days are over and she has been spayed and given a dental cleaning. Valeera gets along with other dogs and she is learning to walk well on a leash. We do not know what she thinks about cats. Story
This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Meet handsome Alexander! Alex is an adorable 4 month puppy (Sept 7) and 18 pounds. He is the brother to Alexis (also male) who is also up for adoption with us! If interested in adopting, please complete our application - you can copy and paste: https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to the New York/NJ area. We DO adopt out of state, but you must come to pick up. In addition, if you are applying for this dog or any of our pups, you must be open to dog psychology/behavior (Cesar Millan) and fulfilling the needs of the dog. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
Looking for a dog, not too old, not too young; not too small, not too big? Perhaps Reno fits the bill. This 5-year old, 47-pound Plott Hound/ Dutch Shepherd mix is non-destructive, housebroken, friendly, playful, and easy-going. Sounds almost too good to be true! Terrific around other dogs and humans of all ages, Reno is a pleasure to get along with. He likes being outside, he is well-mannered on a leash, he’s an infrequent barker, he travels well, and he loves going for walks. When it comes to treats, Reno will eat just about anything. He responds to sit, come, and down, and he’s especially attentive when he knows there’s a reward in store. Hey, he’s not stupid! Reno is more of an active fellow than a couch potato, but he can definitely swing both ways, as he craves affection as much as he craves playtime. Reno constantly wants to either play with his ball or be pet a ton, but he can also just plop himself down on the floor and sleep. Extremely sensitive and loving, Reno cares deeply for all people and other dogs. He’s very intuitive and is able to adapt to the energy level/vibe of the room. This smart and charismatic boy would be an easy fit for almost any type of household. Just give him some time to romp, roam, play, and love…and Reno will give you the world. Story
Say "Aloha" to Bingo who came all the way from Hawaii to NJ! He's a sweet Catahoula mix pup that gets along great with all people and other dogs. Cats are an unknown. Bingo is happy & friendly with children. In his previous home, he lived with an 11 and 14 year old - he would give lots of kisses to the girls as they petted him. He's a very loving boy.  Bingo is 1 1/2 years old and a nice medium size at 36 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped and current on his shots too. He is also both house and crate trained (he is used to being crated when he is alone and slept in a crate in one of the children's bedrooms). Bingo enjoys going for walks or hikes and would make a good walking buddy. He would do best in a more rural environment as the noises of city life make him stressed. Bingo's adoption fee is $415. If you'd like to make Bingo part of your "ohana" (family), please fill out an adoption application at www.ehrdogs.org and be sure to ask for him by name BINGO NJ! August 19, 2024, 11:05 am
