Story
Samson is a very sweet boy!! He LOVES going for walks, using his nose - exploring new areas, and playing in a yard with toys and next to his doggie friends! It may take some time for him to warm up to you but once he does, it is nonstop fun! This past week Samson took a field trip to our local park with his kennel buddy, Ms. Moonie, and he did very well! Samson was confidently curious the second he stepped foot in the parking lot. He was smelling all the smells and taking in all the scenery the park has to offer. - - - Hi, I’m Samson!! I'm looking for my furever home. I am a 8-month old male mix (waiting for my DNA results!). I have started basic obedience training with my new human friends and have been really enjoying it! I am learning how to sit, stay, and to have patience walking through doorways. My new friends are SO impressed that I learned to wait until I am outside to use the potty! They tell me I'm a very good boy! I've been enjoying car rides to the local park, shops, etc. I may take a second to warm up to new people but once I do, I will be a fun-loving part of the family. I also love other dogs. Outside I like to play fetch, soccer, tug, and get the ZOOMIES especially in the SNOW!! Inside Samson likes to cuddle, nap, and chew on toys 🙂 Samson is in great health, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines; he currently weighs 61 lbs but may continue to grow. Samson would do best in a quiet, loving household that likes to exercise and is willing to continue training. He would prefer a home without children under 13 years.

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Henry Lee is a sweet boy who loves, human affection and of course food. He is a smart boy and likes to please his people. He does well on a leash and enjoys going on walks. He would love someone who will let him spend time outside soaking up the sun. He will pounce around and play for a bit but is pretty mellow and happy to be a couch potato. He enjoys snuggling. He enjoys hanging out with friends but would do fine as an only dog. He has nice house manners and also does not jump. Henry gets along with all female dogs and low energy submissive male dogs. Crate trained by saying "get in your house Henry". This sweet boy would love nothing more than a furever home, could that be you?? IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. She loves butt/head scratches, belly rubs... well actually, just touch her, feed her and you will win her heart. She is fearful of storms but is just fine once she is snuggled up next to you. With there being no local animal shelter, The couple took in over 40 dogs to keep them from starving on the streets. When the husband passed away and his wife fell ill, SNARR NE was asked to help out with the placement of the dogs. Rosie is a 60lb drama free, sensitive girl. She is very sweet and a little timid at first. Rosie does not often need correction but if you do, expect for her feelings to be hurt for a few days. She truly needs someone she can just snuggle up with and get attention from. She does have flea allergies but is being treated and well on her way to a full beautiful coat. She is pretty low energy and is happy to lounge around right next to you. Rosie is crate trained. She has a calm gentle demeanor so a home with children 10 or older would be ideal. She gets along with all other dogs but a high energy or assertive dog are not the best fit as she gets intimidated by them. Limited/supervised exposure to cats but did well. Rosie would love a fully fenced in yard as she is still uncomfortable/uncertain about the leash. Hercules is a 65 lb ball of absolute mush. He thinks he belongs in your lap and is happy to accept ALL of the affection you are willing to give him. He is a spirited boy who thrives with attention and interactive play. He loves to play fetch. Hercules would do best with a secure fully fenced in yard to give him the space to roam around and sunbathe. He loves attention from all humans but is partial to lady K-9 companions. He does well on a leash. He is crate trained but gets bored if he is in there for long periods of time, luckily he does well free roaming and is not destructive so a crate isn't really necessary. If you enjoy spending time outdoors playing with your pal and snuggling inside then Hercules is the guy for you!!
