Story
Nubby (first known to our rescue as Domino) is hoping to finally settle down with a furever family Nubby was surrendered back to our care after his home caught fire, and family’s housing situation changed. Nubby likes to be low-key. He is the perfect companion for someone looking for a dog that will snuggle with them on the sofa as he is an expert. Nubby would love a quiet home (respectful or older children, no hyperactive dogs). A home that has a large fenced-in yard would be ideal, although not a must-have for this boy. Nubby is overall very low maintenance as long as his furever home is quiet. He is a very social dog and loves being around people. One of Nubby's cutest features is his nubby tail he wags every time he sees someone. He loves car rides and is happy to go wherever his new family would take  him. www.mostlymuttz.org Great with cats, dogs Senior who is young at heart 43 lbs Domino is being fostered in Springfield (Delaware County), Pennsylvania). #handsomesenior #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #rescuedismyfavoritebreed  If you are interested in adopting Nubby and would like to provide the loving home this boy deserves, please contact Mostly Muttz! You can apply at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. Story
Hello, my name is Ritchley! I came to the shelter as a stray, and no one came for me so I am now looking for my furever home. I tend to be a little nervous at first, especially with loud and unfamiliar noises of the city. I just need some reassurance and TLC to learn that I am okay. Since I do spook easily, it would be best that any kids in the home are 8 and older who can respect my boundaries. I may do well with cats with proper introduction, but I haven't met one before. I do need to be the only dog in the home though. I am also able to jump fences, so please consider keeping me leashed/tethered or never unsupervised. I do have a big heart and plenty of love and companionship to share if you'll give me a chance.---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Banjo requires a fenced in yard and an active adopter. If you are interested in adopting Banjo, please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application.  ##386437##
